6 Speed Auto 79 Series Dual Cab - Worth it??

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

What a rig!!!! LC79 Series D/C in graphite - featuring a wholesale automatic kit with 6sp auto. Bring ruggedness and luxury together to achieve the ultimate off-road tourer. This build also has our custom performance package carried out by DPU in Mackay - respectable yet powerful and great for towing.
Other features that are captured in this build include:
- JMACX 4495 GVM with max tow capacity at 4.5T (this is achieved by doing the auto upgrade).
- ARB barwork accessories (discussed in the build video)
- Norweld tray and canopy, with our exclusive Pro Touring internal design
- Full interior strip out and recondition featuring Recaro Expert M seats
- Wheels and Tyres to ensure compliance. This vehicle has the Maxxis AT811 and Method 312 Black HD wheels.
This video mainly focuses on the benefits of the 6 speed auto and if you are considering whether to do it or not it may help your decision making process.
Cheers legends!!

Hey Mate, What a rig, my dream 4x4. Im interested though in your comment about the stock 2.8L 4 cylinder runs rings around this tuned V8 with auto, does this mean the 2.8 pulls better and faster even with significantly less power than that tuned V8? With the same weight?

Yeah will be interesting mate. We haven’t had any of our builds have dramas with heat really needs to be tuned properly and calibrated. We run larger trans coolers too

Great build as always Kaleb, however the real question is not if the auto is good, rather- “is it worth spending over $300k on a Landcruiser dual cab” 🤔 I’m in disbelief that people have the money, or should I say have the capacity to service the debt on this…

If you're going auto, why not the ZF 8sp? Ripper touring rig, solid build - the seat covers on the Recaro's - are they off the shelf?

They are mate . Black Duck make them for the Recaro’s. Up until now mate the Wholesale kit has been all that’s on offer with good backing and stock levels . We’ve got a few 8 speed builds coming through now and will report back with a KZread vid

Mad rig. With the side steps, if your driving on a gravel road do stones get caught into the powerboards and damage any panels? Or is it pretty same on dirt roads...

Cheers mate . Yes if planning to hit a heap of corrugations extended mud flaps are usually recommended. We can extended the factory ones. A standard side step is recommended if you plan on doing a range of travel including heavy corrugations
