Gotta love Mariel in 04. Wins Olympic gold, and then flies back to the States for freshman orientation at Notre Dame. Can you imagine doing a collegiate meet and then running up again the O-Games champ and she's just a freshman?? Meanwhile, Mariel is writing an essay "What I did on my summer vacation..."

You missed Becca Ward, who won Cadet, Junior, and Senior World's in the same year in Women's Sabre 😁 Where did you get the footage of the team final from Beijing?

Yuki Ueno from Women's Foil. She's the youngest of the Japanese Womens Foil squad and won both cadet and junior world titles back to back at the same event. Has since gone on to dominate, winning a silver medal at Asian Championships last year.

Yeah Yuka Ueno is crazy skilled. Winning both cadet and junior world championships is definitely not an easy thing. Speaking about Ueno, there's another Ueno named Yuto (also foil) that is worth consideration. He's not part of senior team yet but apparently he's done pretty good job for himself. Apparently he won bronze at 2019 Universiade. Also if what I read is correct, Yuto and Yuka are siblings.
