I have aspergers which is a form of autism fidgeting helps me stay calm some times and using a spinner or some other fidget thing is better then when I start clicking my pen because I have nothing to else to fidget with

I want a fidget cube. If I have a clicky pen I would keep clicking it (sometimes I would accidentally bring the pen with me when leaving class during recess and only realize when I'm out of the classroom), when I wore a necklace and/or ring I kept fidgeting with them, if the pen is not a clicky pen I take off the cap slightly then put it back again and again with one hand, sometimes I bite my nails but not too much cause I don't want to ruin them... plus there were those times where I desperately needed to calm myself. I probably need something to fidget with.

YES! I used to do a ton of the same things, and a fidget cube really helped cuz of all the different parts of it you can use to keep you busy and help anxiety. I recommend the antsy lab and chuchik fidget cubes!

One of my favorite stim/fidget toys are the textured tangles. Its pocket sized, but its still big enough to play with in one hand. It'd also quiet and doesn't create any noise. And since it has textures its also really nice to feel the different textures it has.

Racheal Cooper I have diagnosed ADHD as well, but I actually love my fidget cube, though I tend to play more with the silent fidgets. I like the ones I can rotate, I feel it replicates my leg moving/shaking pretty well, the flat spinning side of the authentics have a tacile sensation that reminds me of playing with the zipper on a jacket, or running my finger up and down the teeth of a comb. The great thing about the cubes is that you can play with a different fidget if you're not vibing on a particular side at any moment. I do like the clicky bits, but use those less because the clicking does annoy me sometimes, especially the switch, which is the loudest. However, my authentic cube allows me to silently rock the switch in the center, which is nice. The roller ball on the authentic cubes can also be clicked, if so desired. I have a fidget spinner too but don't use that as often as it's more passive, though it is sometimes fun to hold it between the thumb and middle finger, give it a good flick with the ring finger, and just let it spin while you focus on whatever else you're doing

The dice cubes are one of my FREAKIN FAVORITE!!!!

I have the bike chain one. It's around 9 months old at the time I'm typing this and does not disappoint. Still completely intact, doesn't leave a metal smell. I'm right-handed, I don't have great left hand coordination but this tiny toy has helped with that a lot.

Matthias, thank you for your explanation of fidget tools at the beginning of your video. A lot of people who do videos about these fidget tools/toys don't really explain that their purpose is for people with autism/ ADHD/ADD/ anxiety. They mostly use them as toys and they don't use them as fidgets, which I think is part of why some people don't like them, and why some teachers ban them in classrooms. Because people use these as toys when they're not meant to be toys. As someone with ADHD and anxiety I can appreciate how you explain that they are meant to be fidgets, and how when you tested them out you used them as fidgets, not toys.

They banned them because idiots threw them at each other... They are really painful as weapons, especially the metal ones. While people with mental disabilities are the target market, I volunteer at a learning centre for adults with learning and mental issues. They banned the spinners because some are unpredictable and aggressive, and we have ADHD clients there. I have learning problems myself. Something people don't accept about the fidgets spinners in particular i that someone with ADHD can be aggressive and when their anger is out they will use objects as throwing tools. So the toy they use to de-stress become a weapon to toss. The problem with these devices is also, that many diagnosed with ADHD are often mislabeled and giving someone a object like this is dangerous, as was my youngest half-bro' case. And then those who come from bad up bringings... Saying that, until 23 I didn't know I had my own problems... Maybe this is why the fidget toys appeal more then they should? :-/

AngelEmfrbl I'm not trying to say that is the only reason they are banned. That is only one of the many reasons, but being the kid of two teachers, I know it's a huge part of it. Kids use them as toys and as distractions, not as fidgets. Especially fidget spinners.

I have a fidget cube and it helps me so much with my anxiety. The switch part helps me the most.

I have a fidget dice and they really help me as i have depression along with axiety and jusy general meltdowns and stress, definitely recommend it.

Dear Matthias, I'm not here to say anything stupid (or at least I hope not). I love your videos, don't get wrong. You have become one of my favorite KZreadrs over the short 6 months I have watched you. I really love your 10 Strange Dollar Store Items Sent By Viewers video because it was interactive with the audience. I'm not here to beg for the RYC (reading your comments) series to start up again, but I'm asking if you could do more interactive videos with the comment section or something like that. My idea is that you come up with like 20 items and make a poll for people to decide which ones they want you to review and next week you would review those items. Also make a poll for each "cash it or trash it" type of thing. This is just my input but I hope you hear me out and I'm sure it would make your videos much more fun! Thanks for your opinion. I have problems with biting my nails and yes my fingers, too. And because my fingers hurt I am looking for a proper quiet thing to fidged with in class.

The bracelets part killed me I was laughing so hard
