Super excited to try runway ml gen-1 (I’ve already used it for the regular film fx, isolating figure from background, saved me so much time instead of using AE). I’ve been on waitlist for gen-1 for a month. Hope I get access soon. Thanks for review. I’ve used descript for audio transcription but stopped around the time I was using their beta storyboard option. Corridor crew did an interesting video last year where they created a deepfake of their co-worker using descript voice ai option. He was creeped out and not happy about that.

Do you know if the trained voices (yours in this video) get absorbed into any databases of AI datasets? That worry is what makes me hesitant about using the voice AI apps. Can’t tell if your/our voice is kept out of the bigger systems.

I get that, but if you've ever used a smartphone, your voice has already been "accessed" by many apps. Who knows if it's been recorded or sold or put in a database

@@ThaTurdBurglar true, tho I review privacy terms of any app I install and if not clear then I don’t use. Also turn off access to mic and camera from every app except camera (it is irritating that the default of most apps/phones is to grant access to apps to location/camera/mic). Whether the apps or phones are honest-that’s its own issue. So many AI systems popping up that hard to tell what their privacy terms are, if any. Also unlikely they even follow them as watermarks often show up in AI pieces-so they’re pulling everything off internet whether protected or not.

I want to try Runway. I think it is an awesome software!
