I've sat out on my deck at night, and a fox came around but didn't notice me. However, when I called out to it and startled it, it looked at me and then shrieked quite loudly after. I knew foxes could make those sounds, but I never saw one do it and from so close before. It startled me by how loud it was. Another fox came up on the deck while I was out there one night, and it also didn't see me, but when I made my presence known, it got scared and ran away, but it didn't shriek.

There’s a good chance that the weird “screaming” “howling” noises could be coming from coyotes. There’s lots of animals that can make human like distress noises. One night I woke up to what I thought was a baby crying outside. I went out to investigate and it turned out to be cat. Also the noises a severely injured elk can make are quite disturbing. I can't even begin to imagine what those 2 precious baby boy's went through in their last moments. The fear confusion & pain their own put them through is heartbreaking. Plus Susan's body has never been found. Josh was cruel & a coward. He made sure to cause as much pain as he could for Susan's family & friend's. He didn't just take Susan away from them but their grand babies too. I've never hated someone I've never met before but I can tell you I hate Josh & his sick af dad. I found a legitimate grave in the woods once. As in, a proper legal burial with a 2017 headstone. These people bought a parcel of land in the middle of the woods because grandpa loved the woods and wanted to be there forever. Other interesting things about the guy: he had a twin sister and they were born on Valentine'sday! I still visit. Cheers George, your family loves you so much.

The dirt biking video actually happened to my boyfriend when he was younger (around 8yrs old). He was biking on a well known path and didn't see the cable until he was right on it. He had just enough time to throw his arm up, his arm was caught in the armpit and cut clean through aside from a patch of skin holding on at the back of the shoulder. The cable cut through his helmet and split his chin and lip too before he flipped backwards off the bike. The arm was able to be reattached thankfully, but he has very limited movement after years of physical therapy. He still has the helmet he was wearing when the accident happened, it has a deep gash in the chin guard where the cable smashed into it. He wouldn't be here today if not for that helmet and the fact he put his arm in the way. They never found out who strung the line up, but whoever did it almost killed an 8 year old boy.

8:00 this shed in the middle of the woods was actually built by drifters, who basically walk the entire US sometimes and live off the land basically. They’d sleep in tents in the woods and then continue their journey. There is a community of them and they even have nicknames for each other. In that community they’ll give the location of the shed for any drifters to sleep their or even stay their. The writing on the table are basically messages or names of the drifters. This is actually very common across the US.

Back in the 1990's my boyfriend and I was walking through the woods on the Isle of Wight (it's a small inhabited island close to Portsmouth, UK - where we live). It was in the day. Suddenly, we heard lots of voices, almost whispering. As we got nearer, we saw a group of people wearing masks - similar to those in the film, Eyes Wide Shut. They were behind huge closed gates, and a tall fence ran along, either side of the gates. They all stopped whispering, and stared at us. My boyfriend said quietly, "run". We ran passed and didn't stop till we reached a clearing. God knows what was going on, but it scared the hell out of us!! Luckily we didn't have to go back. @Quetzalcoatl Technically, you could just go out somewhere and build a cabin in the woods, but you'd basically be butting heads with anyone in a thousand or so miles of your homestead who might actually own that land. You have to confirm first whether or not that land is actually owned by Private, State or Federal owners, and as the entirety of the land in the United States is owned _by_ the "United States" unless it's disseminated to a lesser group, such as a State or a private owner, it's the best way to go about it to avoid getting a literal eviction notice. I don't believe the U.S. has any actual "unclaimed land" anymore, but if you own it, you can build on it. Edit: "Squatters Rights" actually exists in the U.S., but you have to have lived on the property for at least 7 years, as well as having maintained and "improved" the property (i.e. make it a livable zone whose conditions have upgraded beyond its original, natural state), at which point you'd have an argument for ownership. Whether it'd be a fair one or not would be up to the original owners to decide.

I’ve lived in a wooded area for about 19/20 years now. Our very first year here we heard screaming from the woods. Our dad went out to investigate bc it sounded so much like a woman being hurt, but found nothing. The next day we went out and found a bunch of fur. It was a rabbit being killed that we heard. Absolutely terrifying. The next time we heard screaming was just a few years ago. That time it was the neighbor and his girlfriend out having a good time in the woods together, lol, but still kinda scary.

After researching the missing posters situation, it became apparent this was not some serial killer shrine hangout spot. Multiple cases from those posters have since been solved, and those responsible were various individuals such as husbands or random people who didn’t commit multiple crimes. So all the missing people on those posters didn’t relate to each other. Second, the people who own the land claim to have had a previous “Halloween party” in August, and that they were leaving the “decorations” up until after their Halloween party in October. That would explain the worn tape and weathered appearance of the posters. However, what kind of sick people have REAL posters of actual missing people at their party? Along with a bed, a handmade cage, a shovel and a recently covered hole in the ground? Maybe they weren’t responsible for the missing people on those posters, but that begs the question: what the hell were they really doing at their “party?” What was the pretense? Why such a creepy set up? They can’t not have nefarious reasoning going on there. That shit’s not normal.

On one occasion, I was BMX bike racing with some friends on one of the longer, round-a-bout paths; this would enable us (race participants) to start and finish the race at the same point. Along with those of us actually racing on our bikes, several other kids were gathered at the start/finish line to witness who would win the race. The path was long, and deep enough into the woods so that the riders would be out of sight of the start/finish for most of the race. As the race commenced, I was able to gain the lead by the time we (racers) were making the return approach to the finish line. Unbeknownst to us racers, a few of the spectators thought it would be a fun idea to set up a breakaway victory tape across the finish-line for when we returned. I would be that victor, but the tape would not be of "breakaway" material, in fact, the tape was nearly invisible to me as I approached and crossed the finish-line. The tape caught me across the front of my neck as I was barreling through at my full speed. I was immediately yanked off of my bike and slammed onto the ground; a thick red imprint being left across my neck and the "victory tape" remaining in place across the path, which the rest of the riders were able to avoid after witnessing my disastrous encounter. The kids who put the tape up were very apologetic as they had not intended to injure anyone, they were merely trying to imitate finish-line tape breaks that they had seen in movies and on TV. All this being described, when I saw the video clip of the two motor cross riders coming across the metallic cable that had been maliciously strewn across the path that they were riding; being that they were on motorized bikes and it was a metal cable, I knew that if either one of those riders had hit the cable in the same manner I hit the "victory-tape," it is very likely their head may have very well come partially, if not completely, off.

That’s what I thought. It looks like someone had tried to decapitate them. That was freaky as hell.

About 15 years ago I was working on a flooring job in central AZ.the customer was this really cute young mother of two little girls. There was no dad around that we saw. My boss ended up talking with her and turned out she was a widow. Her husband had worked in management for a big construction company that was putting in condos somewhere in Mexico. In the evenings he’d ride his 4wheeler around in the washes to unwind. One night he doesn’t come back to where the family staying. She gets worried and gets some to go looking for him. Turns out a local wasn’t happy with folks riding in the wash and strung a piece of wire at neck level….. apparently it decapitated the guy. If I recall wife was pregnant with their second at the time. I really felt bad for all of them

@10:41 I use to do that when I was bored at night, my sister thought I was crazy being in the woods late at night by myself but she till this day still doesn’t know I was diagnosed with primary psychopathy. The only woman that would do something like that as well is the rare psychopath which is a female with psychopathy.

I'm glad I found this channel. It's similar to Mr. Nightmare in that it's about creepy stuff that doesn't have to be "zomfg spooky scary ghosties" and obviously edited/made-up bullshit. I used to watch Chills pretty regularly but there's just no effort or research put into the videos anymore and like 80% of them end up being from someone's website or an art film project or something. This is the kind of refreshing, real-world eerie stuff I look for when I just want some spooky and comfy background noise.

I agree with chills. His videos just wasn't interesting anymore. But with Mr.Nightmare I disagree. He probably only gets them from reddit. I don't know if you want him to make up a story or something.

When I was in middle school a kid died riding his gocart around the school at night. He was decapitated by a chain strewn across the parking lot just at neck level. The bike scene in the forest with the steel cable sent chills up my spine.

I just replied to another comment with a similar story. Some kids who broke into a bobsled track afterhours and got decapitated by a chain going across the track. One of the most disturbing things ive heard about.

The second to the last one could have also been a bear in some kind of distress. The last one might have been a woman whose car broke down, possibly didn't have her cellphone, and then she might have been looking to see if there was another house nearby [when she wandered, afterwards] but didn't see any lights from any other houses, so she went back to her car. It looked like she might have went up to that back door and knocked, however it doesn't appear that she waited long enough unless she had noticed that there was no car there anyway. She could have also been disoriented, had amnesia, or was mentally ill.

Such a clever move to put back the steel wire in his friend's backpack, even if the guy who set this up would probably install another one, at least he cannot use the same wire twice and maybe preventing numerous accident
