Hey Ben, what was the difference in battery life for this exact model ? were you getting 3-3:30 hrs of normal usage ?

A bit bias considering that this is a BUDGET laptop. People who can afford more high end laptops are going to say this about the victus compared to someone who can afford this one only. If you really want to do reviews like this, compare this to other budget laptops which has more so equal parts.

Exactly. He's so bias in this review. How do you expect a budget gaming laptop with the best expectations that you want, of course there's a bit of lack when it comes to built quality like the wobble issue. Does it really matter? I don't find it as a problem tbh. And, the nits pressuming it has 60hz, what do you wanna see 144hz?? The heck. Even the batt. of 70watts... My asus rog zephyrus g14 which has 76watts batt. cannot also last that long. It seems like this guy wanna see a diamond in the city where in fact, you should go mining for you to see them..

The only thing I don't like and it's my fault for assuming otherwise is the 60hz on the base model. I can't complain. My wife will love it. $699 for a decent i5, 3050 and 16GB of RAM. It's actually very efficiently cooled. Performs well. Two RAM slots and 2 NVME slots. Money well spent IMO

I just got this laptop off the local offerup app for 220$ it’s in like new shape so far it works great so far I tried pubg on it I do hate that it has 60htz screen but for what I paid for it can’t go wrong it’s hard choice if I should keep it an sell my 2021 hp omen 1660ti ryzen 7 4800H 144htz screen

1:58 The mux switch is for the literal opposite, it's to remove the igpu bottleneck when using graphic intensive processes. If you run certain tasks the system won't even use the dedicated gpu, aka the mux switch would do nothing there.

I purchased a new hp victus 16 yesterday please tell me how to control fan

i have the 2022 version, 12500H and 3050. I dont have the screen wobble you show. I did have a slow as hell write speed on my ssd. I was just shy of 6Gb/s reads in crystaldiskmark, but under 2Gb/s on writes at best. I ended up swapping it out with a WD Black 850x and now I'm seeing over 6Gb/s reads and writes. As for turning off the dgpu.. you can force it to use the integrated xe graphics IF you want... You can setup an application profile in the nvidia drivers. Just select the application using browse and tell it to use the integrated GPU... while its a bit fiddly if you're wanting to use xe graphics on the go, but dgpu when plugged in.

How is sRGB percent?? Please let me know

It's a battery saving feature. You need to look into settings somewhere. Charging to full 100 percent wears the battery faster to many brands leave the last 1 to 2 percent, don't worry. But you'll somewhere find to disable it if you want, I won't recommend though

Same here! Refurbished ones are still well over 1000 dollars. Gtx 1050/1650 laptops are also 1000 dollars or more. I pickup up this laptop of Facebook marketplace for 600 and going to get it tomorrow.

I have done about 4 hours (plugged in). the laptop was hot but not overheating. I guess it depends on the load and environment.

@@volarex5311 the usual, i guess. Dim screen, cool environment, low background processes. Am running on BT headsets and WiFi so maybe using wired earphones and ethernet cable would save some minutes off the battery drain. Most important of all: Don't run Chrome while gaming 😀

It’s a gaming laptop plug it up if you’re doing something that involves your laptop to use that much power, then plug it up

Ryzen processors are more efficient and battery lasts longer. Intel processor has the temperature sensor placed in the middle while Ryzen processors shows the hottest part of the cpu. No Intel doesnt run cooler and eats more power. 😁

The ryzen version with 3050ti is a decent laptop, just decent. better than a TUF i5 with 3050.

Guys! Does Anyone who has victus thinks the fan noise is normal?!!!! I freaked out! I have a i7 12th gen 3050ti and my fans never get loud. I’ve had it for over a year and play FiveM on it just fine. The fans do ramp up but not loud

i got the intel i5 gtx 1650 with 512gb ssd variant with 8gb of ram. no screen wobble, best chassis on a laptop ive ever used. the 144hz screen makes a night and day difference between my old 60hz monitor, as well as having way more accurate colors than my monitor too, i added 8gb of ram for a total of 16gb, had some problems with the intel boost with my cpu but messing with the registry fixed that quickly. i love this laptop, and got it for an amazing deal. $350 just for the laptop, and $15 for the extra ram stick.

Bought me Omen 16.1, RTX 3060, 8GB RAM, 512GB SSD, for only USD475! Still, for anything but gaming I prefer my Mac Air M1...

@@keyen2334 I got a victus i7 11gen 2tb 144hz 16gb ram rtx 3060.. I will say that there have been no lags or bugs even since I bought them is been 6 months now and no problems at all. Just be careful with them when handling the build quality isn’t strong but easy to break or destroy!
