6 Months in Space | Samantha Cristoforetti

Ойын-сауық

Samantha Cristoforetti spent a record-breaking 200 days onboard the International Space Station. Here, she tells us about her remarkable journey. Her book, Diary of an Apprentice Astronaut, is available for pre-order now: amzn.to/3fSMUjM
In space the sun rises and sets 16 times a day. You fly over every sea, every mountain and desert, every city and every port. The most ordinary things -- eating, sleeping, brushing your teeth or cutting your hair -- have to be relearned, until they become familiar again. This is the story of Samantha Cristoforetti's incredible journey to becoming an astronaut, and her journey beyond Earth.

You'll be pleased to know, if you don't already that Cristoforetti has been assigned to fly to the International Space Station a second time in spring 2022 on SpaceX Crew-4. Amazing person and astronaut.

It is strange that most of us always worship actors, dancers and singers and never astronauts. Astronauts are the real "rock stars" of this f***ing world! Blessed be, astronauts!!! 😉😊

Wonderful. I love this format, she could express herself. She and. Chris are very good narrators. You can almost feel what she is telling you.

I hated that she missed her chance to do a spacewalk bc part of her suit was in the cargo on the 1st rocket that exploded during launch. I sure hope she gets another chance in the future. It's really awful to put in all that hard work, time and effort just to end up missing out due to something beyond your control! But like I said I hope that opportunity will present itself again in the future! 🤍

It’s actually claimed that she was saying Omg Omg because she was seeing unidentified flying objects in space. No one acts that way because of solar panels or sunlight. Nice try to cover up your excitement though
