Well Peeps! Lil Molly is back home with her family, ready for her new start along with her big bro Teddy! She is now equipped with an unbelievable obedience foundation built on respect, impulse control, and a calmer state of mind.
Molly came to us completely tuned out from her person, overly aroused with an inability to calm down, jumping, mouthing, and pulling on leash-your typical puppy shenanigans! So unlike her brother, Molly’s parents decided to be proactive with her training rather than reactive!
We talked about how Molly will continue to need further shaping until she is completely trustworthy around all of her former triggers. The key to this is in patterning Molly’s choices to our personal desires, while staying mindful to what we so often unintentionally reward. Creating healthy habits is critical in these months! Preventing bad habits from being practiced is so important.
Molly is well on her way to having that amazing bond all of us dog owners crave with our pets! I am so happy for her owners to experience the everywhere dogs they’ve always wanted. It’s so amazing to see the true nature of our dog’s when they are in a calmer, more balanced state of mind!
