If you still have a problem with the ice dripping out of the Fridge there is a solution. The white flange that goes up to the ice drop has about a quarter inch gap which allows warm air in to melt the ice. If you buy a rubber washer or just roll up some plastic and stick it inside to push the edges up and it will keep the warm air out and stop the leaking. I just bought this Fridge and was wondering why it was leaking and thats what I discovered

Watching this while quarantined 🤦🏽‍♀️ I have the smallest UK model...🤣 2yrs now.....Love it....Loveeeee it...I use most of the features..It is so cool but it is also a damn good fridge freezer....My veggies stay crisp for soooo long, I mean weeks and months...I am really happy with it...👍🏽❤️

I noticed you still had a clip on your interlock switch on the left side door. Clip is suppose to be removed when installed also the ice maker isn’t suppose to leak water I would advise calling Samsung to change out the ice maker and install the service kit it’s actually a known issue, also ice tray is suppose to come out easy it’s not suppose to freeze up. I would have it fixed before the one year warranty runs out. Just some helpful tips I fix Samsung appliances for a living.

Talia-Nava Nadia TBH it’s a hit or miss with appliances now a days there really isn’t one best brand out there anymore. Best advise I can give you is look at the consumers report only and always buy the extended warranty.

@Zyzz yes. It's on youtube now. Look up y- clips for your samsung freezer. Oh and set your fridge higher in the front that the back. I just got this bundle today from home depot so I did a bit of research.

I purchased the same model 3 months ago, compared to my old Samsung this one is a dream, the dam screen has so many features I’m still trying to figure it all out 😀

How is it holding up? Ice maker issues?

I have this fridge with the middle compartment configuration. Ice Maker broke in 1 year. Fridge stoped working in 1 1/2 year. The service center told me Samsung should stick to making TVs not Fridges. To have a Fridge not cool after 1 1/2 year means these guys have horrible quality control and design.

So happy that the Lumpia was featured in the app! Watching from the Philippines! I love your fridge!

I bought in Cali and shipped here in Manila. Since Samsung is Korean made we don't have it here and we are so close to Korea : ( anyway my friends and family were blown away by this fridge : )

You are getting water coming out due to the circulation fan inside the ice maker compartment not being able to blow the cold air freely through the ice bucket chamber. The ice is melting. You need service asap.

Most modern handles are fully made of steel and not likely to break off unless you get certain modles of Frigidaire or Whirlpool.

Got my TV to mirror we have firesticks as well, have the RING doorbell set up too, someone comes to the door it displays on hub!

RVD I have had no problem with it, works great. Only issue I have had is when looking at the measurements, I did not take in account for the top with has a computer lip at the top and I cannot open my cabinets above. My wife is short and will never use that space luckily we have a lot of other space.

Thats def a cool fridge. I have been a huge Samsung fan and user for years. Havent got that fridge yet but it's on my wishlist. For the smart view, like with viewing your phone on the tablet, have you tried clicking to stream from those device to your fridge. I think it'll work for you that way.

Ihave heard of the newer high tech fridges making loud noises and leaking water causing damage to kitchen floors. Nice. i see u have more than 3/4 of the food storage capacity. I recommend u guys to level the fridge properly when getting a Samsung Fridge, leaning the fridge a a little bit towards the back. Front legs are adjustable. That will prevent draining issues. The ice maker. If u don't use the ice maker frequently, turn it off. The screen mirroring. When trying to cast what u are watching on ur phone to the screen.

In the future you can play games, watch movies... on a freezer' screen😂

Samsung has replaced my ice maker 5 times now, thank god I had the Lowe's warranty. That leaking water from the ice maker is a manufacturing problem and also a class-action lawsuit. I have had the fridge since 2016, I don't have the screen. Today Samsung just offered me $3,050 to replace my fridge. Getting the new Samsung fridge with the new Ice Max ice maker.

In your video, I noticed you did not remove the dark pink cover interlock fat the top of your fridge at the left door. Samsung has warning in the manual about the danger of injuries causing by ice crushing blades. Hopefully, by now, you have already remove the locking palstic piece.

Really good break down brother. I can see how the Amazon shopping would be really handy :)

I noticed that too. That only means the interior fridge light has been on for 6 months 24/7 minimum!

Also if you purchase your warranty from ABC warehouse. if you get a five year warranty you receive 50% of what you purchased that warranty for back In store credit. if you don’t utilize it within the five years.

Just purchased one thats being delivered today. Glad to hear that your experience has been a positive one. My fiance is still questioning my decision on this. Hopefully once i get it all set up that'll change. Wish me luck😅

Dang it! I was trying NOT to love this fridge. The only ehhh is that ice storage. Our whirlpool 5 door died after only 2 yrs! So I’m avoiding them this time, thank goodness for extended full money back warranty! Highly suggest it even though it’s pricey but when your throwing over 3k into a fridge it is worth it!

I bought the 28 cubic foot one. It should be home friday! Yay. We went to the store and touched etc and out of all of them I think this was the best space. I got ofcourse the extended warranty. Lowes has them on sale till tomorrow btw

Nice review. The store associate said that smart view only works with Samsung TV’s & phones. That’s probably why you couldn’t get it to work with your fire sticks & Roku TV’s.

How do you convert the freezer into a full refrigerator?

I have a question, as I have seen other content creators say the video on their computer, go corrupted, deleted by accident, etc. My question is, isn't the original clip still on the storage of your camera, and when you copy it to your computer, don't you back it up before you begin editing, and don't you save a copy every so often while editing so as to have a back up until your last save, and of course saving a copy of the finished video. Just wondering how folks keep loosing recently shot video. Thanks.

Sometimes it can get corrupted on the card and it can't be recovered. This usually happens during the initial transfer from the card to computer or how the camera writes to the card. Sometimes it can be recovered when it makes it to the computer but it can't be recovered it if can't be moved from the card to the computer in a readable format. For me it may have happened 2x in about 100k hours of video. That is why is is important to format the cards before you begin a new project. Technology has its limits.

Nice! You should review it, samsung has nothing to do with you reviewing the fridge.

Our Family hub ice maker stopped working after heavy use of the ice maker. Could not get any ice out of it for about a day or so. Solution, used me closed fist and lightly pounded on the outside right side of the ice maker. When I did , I heard some hacked up ice falling inside and it has worked ever since perfectly. However. Duh, I never did figure out how to slide the ice maker out. If I did , I wouldn’t have had to pound on the outside.

Best feature about this fridge is the water jug that fills up after each use

My dumb refrigerator makes ice and keeps things just as cold as your smart refrigerator.

I like the freezer. I dont like the 1 big freezer drawer on my french door, I feel like there's not enough space. Tje back is slanted and if something spills I cant get to the bottom of the actual fridge to clean it up.

My brand new Samsung fridge has a defective screen. It will even open the fridge settings and change the temperate control-by itself! I had to lock that function. Waiting for retailer to get back to me on an exchange or Samsung support to fix.

Whats the benefit of using apps on your fridge that you can use on your phone while sitting?

How long will the tablet last? I'm concerned when/if the tablet dies than what? You'll have a 21.5" screen that is useless.

I almost bought this today from Lowes. I decided to go home and check all the reviews first. Q1. I keep seeing hundreds of negative reviews having to do with the ice maker. I'm wondering if you've had any issues with it since this review. I know you said you were able to just reset it. Also does your 4 year warranty cover that? Q2. I'm a huge fan of watching hulu while cooking. My main reason for wanting this model was to have the ability to cast to the fridge. Is this possible? Thanks so much for the review. It's the only in depth one I have found yet. Awesome.

So, funny you should ask. I had the ice maker replaced a week ago. It was easy, called Samsung service and they sent a tech out. There was a seal problem allowing condensation to form in the ice maker. The condensation would freeze and render the ice maker useless. Little frustrating, I hope it doesn't happen again. Yes you can stream Hulu to the fridge! Thanks for watching.

Did your fridge stop having the ability to write over pictures or the little images that you could put over on pictures?

I’m surprised u don’t have too many ice maker problems. That leak in the ice dispenser is common. It’s when that ice blocks up and it causes it to stop making ice. Or u get water all over the floor.

Great fridge and review, I'm buying the UK version of this at the end of March, it will be interesting to see if the apps are different

@@jackgriffiths7602 Hi, I lost access to the app for a couple of months as I updated my phone to android and the app wouldn't work until I think it was October, but all the family use the shopping list app, the kids use the fridge as a countdown when cooking and we have access to all our favourite take aways saved as book marks. We have on occasion used the cameras to remote view the contents if we were unsure of how much of a certain item we had. We also use Spotify, the weather and we have used youtube for cooking videos a few times. The memo function has been good to leave a short note for people. So yes it does get well used.

Same frig same issue with watery ice. Definitely isnt normal. Geeksquad came out for repairs. Replaced ice box due to bad seal also did some programming for the ice box defrost cycle. Tech also advised me not to have open cup of water in frig or any open liquids as will cause issue with evaporator. Ice comes out perfect 😉 I would schedule an appointment ASAP as this problem will get worse and you wont be getting any ice at all. Other then that Exellent frig.

I had to get my money back on mine. They could not repair mine after 4 attempts working on the icemaker. Bummer. What is the actual model number of your unit ?

I don’t think they sell it at Best Buy. You can go to Home Depot or home appliances store it’s called “SAMSUNG FAMILY HUB FRIDGE” they do have different types tho!

@@mahsa848 they do have it at Best Buy. I bought one 4 years ago and recently updated to the newest model. Get the longest warranty (5 years). They can have defective ice makers. This is what’s happening to him... he just doesn’t know it yet.

I thought it was cool and considered buying one of these but then realised that it's a ridiculous gimmick to have a screen on your fridge... any phone or tablet can do the same and you don't need to be standing in your kitchen to use it. Save yourself $1000s and buy the normal version of the same fridge if you like it and a separate tablet or even Echo Show with Alexa for the kitchen if you want. The screen in this fridge will certainly die before the fridge lifespan ends and the technology will almost certainly be outdated within a couple of years.

I was about to purchase a touchscreen but chose a 4 door Samsung instead. While it’s nice technology changes, parts gets unavailable in the future and I would want to spend a min browsing my fridge screen rather than spending more time with family. Grab and go is my thing and have Alexa do everything for me. Apps do upgrades and they also get discontinued. Example of this is Skype on tv which Samsung removed and external camera to go with it.
