6 month review on the Hyper 29er E-bike
It has been 6 months since purchasing my Hyper 29er E-bike. This thing is perfect for someone looking to not have to spend 1000's of dollars but still be able to get out and ride some beginner and intermediate trails. This bike is a great project bike as well. The one thing I like the most is you still get a workout as the motor is only 250 watts so you still have to push this bike a bit which is awesome for me. With that being said it makes climbing so much fun!!!

Thank you. Mountain biking has done so much for me over the last year. It has help me with my health, mind, body and soul. Not to mention that flat out fun and feeling you get, it is like being a big kid all over again lol! 😎🚵💪
Thanks Tony. I'm sold. My wife and I ride our bikes all summer. Too bad in NY that is 6 months. Ebikes will definitely give us more places to explore. Excellent review as usual 👍👍

I got myself the 26 inch version back in August, so far ive been riding it for my daily commutes in Manitoba... regardless of all the snow... Ive put about 1600KM on it so far, studded tires, mud guards and front and rear bright lights for the winter and some foam wrap for the battery and downtube and ive been good in up to -40C this year. I really miss riding on pavement right now xD

You are lucky to have such great open spaces over there . Here in the UK we have almost nothing like that . Still enjoy riding my Ancheer ebike though . They sure put a smile on your face don't they . Enjoy but take care on the rough stuff !

Yes, we are lucky to have all this open desert area. They really do put a smile on your face and make you forget about everything else. Keep riding and stay safe and healthy!
BTW, I highly recommend you to install a seat post with telescopic suspension. MTBs with rear hubs really hurt on bumps. I installed one by HL-Zoom (25 euro on Amazon) and both the wheel and my back are glad now.
Good job Tony!

Pretty cool! This bike seems pretty reliable and fills the niche for people who are considering mountain biking but think they may lack to stamina for longer rides/ don't want to break the bank.

True, but you would be surprised at the workout you still get with this bike as it is only power assist. Makes riding up hill a whole new ball game!!! I love it.

WOW! Great review and nice scenery to ride I could do that all day, but I would worry doing a face plant into a cactus lol. Have you researched if a throttle could be added to this bike? I'm curious about the torque it gives also. Hyper has been around forever and the ones I had never let me down.
@VegasHyperAdventures
Жыл бұрын
Not sure about a throttle as that is not my thing. I run a touring company here in Las Vegas called Vegas Hyper Adventures. If you ever plan on coming to Vegas check me out www.vegashyper.com I supply the bike, helmet, gloves, pads, backpack, water and snacks. Great time for sure.
Nice
Hey Tony, I am jealous of your great trails to ride out there! I bought the same bike after watching your videos. What replacement fork would you recommend ?

Randy, thanks been having a blast. I am not sure yet as I am waiting to see if Kevcentral does a project bike using this bike. Check him out as well if you have not, he just did a review on our bike. If you get a new fork please let me know the details.
wow, I am surprised the bike is holding up over time on the trail you are going over regularly. Pushing the limits for sure! But then you can re-transport the batteries to other Hyper models if it comes to that!

Yes, pushing the limits to a cert point, but also just having fun.
Hi Tony Thinking of getting one of these and wondering how you transport the bike? Will it fit on a standard bike rack on the tow hitch of my car, or do I need to factor in a roof rack? Thanks for the great review
@VegasHyperAdventures
2 жыл бұрын
Hey Richard, E-Bikes are heavy and require a bike rake that can handle 60 lbs. I have an Allen bike rake that attaches to my 2 inch hitch and can carry up to 4 bikes. The reason I purchase the 4 bike rack is because it handled the weight. I only carry mine and my wife's Hyper bikes and have driven 100s of miles. I would say just be sure they are built to carry E-Bikes. You can search Allen bike racks to see there's as well as others. Hope that helps.
Okay 👍
Isn't the power the same in all the settings just different top speed? That's what it seems like to me, which pads to buy that are better and compatible? Great video by the way
@VegasHyperAdventures
2 жыл бұрын
Jason, no there are 3 power modes and each one gives you a little more assistance, but also uses more battery as well. I normally ride in low power as I still like to get a workout, but once in a while it is fun to bust through a trial in high power 😄
Thanks for your review, makes so much sense. What’s the mileage you get if you ride the way you are doing in the video?

I ride any where from 10 to 12 miles 2 to 3 times a week and I always have to bars of power left.

Hey Tony Me again Quick question What kind of tire pressure should I add to my 26er to hit the ground running?
@VegasHyperAdventures

On my wife's 26 inch I am running 25 PSI in both front and back. Start there and they play around from there. Once you find your sweet spot even just 1 psi different stay with it. Good luck and have fun!!😎
part list please

I use a landscaping pipe cutter lol. Hope this helps

A few little drops but nothing major. These are fun and for the price, add a few upgrades and you have yourself a beast of an Ebike.
I got the Schwinn axum 29 inch, is this bike as strong as it? I’m having trouble on some hills and need something to loose weight and biking seems to help but I wear out fast so can’t get a good ride in
@VegasHyperAdventures

Yes. Even stronger. I had the Schwinn Boundary before this bike. The nice thing is the pedal assist allows you to ride long and more often. You still get a great workout.
