He was thinking of 6s, but in Highlander all classes are used and all are viable to an extent. Even in 6s, switching your scouts to engineer or heavy and building a level 3 can be really annoying

Unfortunately he's right. Engie is just too slow. In highlander he's forced to being used but highlander doesn't really have competitive integrity after the "we don't care about bringing in new players" stunt they did. In 6s he's restricted entirely to sentries on last to take 2 seconds off of the enemy uber while he sits in spawn to swap off the moment it gets destroyed. However, the first rgl no restriction 6s tournament had Uncle Dane on Froyotech (the best TF2 team in the world no contest) and he did really well. But that tournament also had payload whereas 6s traditionally is only 5cp and koth, and Froyotech with 5 members + an engie main is still going to absolutely dominate invite.

I used to be the secret engie main, I just had more hours playing engie, but I had gotten a kind of distaste for playing engie, because of the perceived rush at the beginning of the round as defense (red). I really got a taste for payload after I came back to playing engie, and realized the value of the teleporter and dispenser, and I lost my attachment to keeping sentry guns up, which is what made me disenchanted with engie in the first place. TL;DR: I started hating engie because of the perceived stress, and I came back after realizing the support value of engie. I don't quite play tf2 as much anymore, though, but it's not nearly as stressful when I play it anymore.

@@Ne1vaan Well think about it, how does a medic help an engineer aside from healing? You don't usually uber an engineer, and can't do anything with the buildings. A medigun with a shield can do that.

I gotta say their failures in the trivia section surprised me. I literally thought bonnie was it during his description when he failed to mention either the passive reload speed or the bizzare bit of trivia that the weapon description says "no headshots" even though none of the other syringe guns can headshot anyway. It may be because I literally always use the amputator but I was shocked how much connor got wrong, then jesus started reciting stats that were from the old vita saw, but when lilith mentioned the backpack thing so early I was like "wait why the fuck would a medic main bring that up you don't even see the backpack when you're the one playing the class!"

Next time, make it a Spy main hiding among Engineer mains. That's gonna be extremely hard, cuz Spy needs to know everything about his enemies, in order to beat them.

Bonnie's reasoning for being overly descriptive was precious, bless his heart. This was a cool video, for real.

The way the engi main explained most of the vaccinator points from the pov of other classes gave it away for me

I feel like this would be infinitely more entertaining if people were in a room on a TF2 server

From the beginning of the game, I 100% knew Saint was a Medic main, just because he used the Burly Beast.

Yo this was a fun video! So many medic mains that don’t know much about the weapons they’re using. If you ever do another medic main episode get me in there and I’ll sniff out the imposter in a matter of minutes.

I felt like I sussed out Lilith pretty good -Older cosmetic set with no visible uniqueness (Typically if you main a class long enough you opt to go for maximum style or look like a disaster, while other classes have less of a “personal touch” to them) -Read off the wiki for his gun but intentionally fumbled to throw off any suspicion ( Feel like Bonnie didn’t actually read off the wiki and is just a weapons schizo ) -First to react when saint wanted to kick one more -What sorta medic main names themselves *LILITH?*

Double plot twist, you somehow kill more enemies as a medic than your teammates. Also 2:50 my favorite medic taunt is manbulance and the uber saw taunt. "I'm going to saw through your bones!"

@@danielsurvivor1372 damage breakpoints is basically the idea that a certain amount of damage will lead to a certain amount of hits required to take down an opponent. For a basic example, if you are able to deal 100 damage per shot, that means you can 2 shot a soldier, as opposed to 99 damage, which would require 3. In this specific case, they were talking about 2 close ranged crossbow shots putting someone in hp range to die to 2 ubersaws, and a long range crossbow putting someone in the hp range to die from a demo pipe. That's stuff you can't really find on a wiki.

The SECOND Lilith said a ctf map as their favorite I was positive it was them

The second Lilith said “I wish the medic was given an mp40” I instantly knew that no medic main would want that. While, yes. It would help the medic fend for themselves, it’s still in their name “medic”. They aren’t an attacking class. They’re supposed to be (strictly/not so strictly) a healing class. While yes, you have your battle medics here and there, you never see a medic main wishing they had the ability to embrace a battle medic weapon set. Even without an mp40, the medic already has a machine gun in the form of the syringe gun. (Fun fact: The syringe gun could actually be a close relative to the beta scout’s nail gun in the idea that it’s projectiles are not true bullets, but have an actual travel time similar to say.. huntsman arrows or (obviously) the crusaders crossbow.) That in mind, interesting little game!

Connors description of the Amputator has an accurate way of saying it. Everyone knows the AOE aspect, no one knows of the heal increase.

i use it to negate afterburn and heal in corners often. the Amputator combined with the quick fix is probably the highest heal factor you can get. quick fix for the open areas of the match and the amputator for the tight spaces and grouped teammates. though i do often run stock bonesaw for the extra swing speed. helps more than you think.

If you think about it, a minicrit medigun would be pretty powerful if you take the lack of damage falloff into account.

Nah, the kritzkrieg already builds uber faster than stock, and even in comp it's only used as a "gotcha!" moment when ubers *should* be even. You still have to hit your shots, and explosive classes still have radius falloff. Minicrits don't actually increase the damage all that much, not enough to make running it over kritzkrieg.

@@jalontf2 I imagine it sort of like a quicker kritzkrieg. Because if you made it the same speed or slower as the kritz it would be basically useless. But minicrits don't have damage falloff. So no matter what speed you make it charge at, either it's going to be worse than the kritz, or it would allow you to constantly push out minicrits as a heavy down a sightline. Which would be absolutely insane. Buff banner is already excellent on a team who knows how to capitalize off kritz so an equivalent on a class that's meant to survive would be insanely broken.

I’m late to this but I will say the other suggestion for a medigun with all the ubers sucks even harder, I love the buff banner and understand how this QuickKrieg medigun would be pretty OP, but the former medigun suggestion just sold me on the guy being an engineer. In short, the other medic mains threw.

I would love to see a video of scout mains with a spy main. Not only would a sneaky spy main be funny, it'd also be really interesting to understand how a spy main sees scouts. Alternatively also scout mains with a pyro.

I am 100% down to watch a full series on this. Good video!

I’d argue the engineer is actually one of the classes most equipped to deal with vac medics. A level three sentry can do multiple damage types at once, and contrary to what some believe, those four rockets deal respectable damage.

Before watching the video, I had a funny mental image of Uncle Dane being the "hidden" engie main and trying to convince others he was a medic main

I reccomend maybe inviting all the players into a random map maybe a custom one and telling all of them to wear stock and no hats so it would be more like jubilee

On the topic of a medigun that gives mini-crits, I've been thinking that there should be a medigun that charges based on patient damage dealt and that sounds like a great combo. After dealing 800 damage, gain guaranteed mini-crits for 8 seconds. Maybe something else small like a reload boost or a movement speed increase.

The blood doctor in tc2 is kinda like that, but instead of damage dealt it’s damage taken. However it’s a pretty bad medi-gun so I don’t recommend using it.

Loved every second! As a former Medic main I was really invested in trying to spot the mole and had great fun. Can't wait to see the concept expanded, maybe with two "rival" classes... Imagine a Spy main trying to blend in with six Pyro mains

Love the idea! In the future, I’d love to see this as recorded gameplay so everyone can see others loadouts. Though probably Stranges and counters shouldn’t be allowed. Looking forward to the next one!

I actually pegged Jensen when he called the Vaccinator bubble a "sheild" as the Wrangler's Sheild is usually called that. Kudos to him tho!

This was so good. Really enjoyable video. I'd love to see the other 8 classes done. Demoman/scout main here and im thinking about how well i would do in one lf these and id probably get kicked out in the first round. Youve got a new sub.

This was a fun video to watch! Can't wait to see more. I think some improvements could help like showing their discord pfp with the footage of their character could help as a visual person i found it hard to follow who is who.
