Garbage Pail Kids (or Garbage Gang as they were called in Europe), had a figurine line too, but they were single colored and quite small. To my mother’s dismay I ‘geekily’ collected the cards...🙈

The Inhumanoids were awesome!! Especially Decompose, no other villain had a prison in his rib cage

I remember putting old mattresses below my house and doing flips off the roof and putting mortar balls in people's exhaust pipes in the 1980s....and drawing dicks on people's cars in the night with mustard.

@@apollo4657 that's so cool. We never got the Dune toys offered in my area that I can remember. There was a magazine with pullout posters at the local grocery store. I bought it. The added benefits were the princess outfit that was very revealing. Can't believe they sold that, they clearly never looked through the pics. Better keep those toys safe, they gotta be worth a mint. Good idea on the sandstorm eating Bobba. I used to have epic battles between GI Joe's and Star Wars. Both good sides vs bad sides. Bad sides often won bc Darth Vader was the man!

I think everyone had the van city. That was a staple of Micro Machines ownership.

When that kid says “thanks!” and looks at the camera it’s hilarious! Grossed out the girl and let the world know he’s happy about it! Hahaha.

I had a Rude Ralph talking head when I was a kid....best part of having it was wearing a hoodie and placing Ralph in the hood to make him my head 😆

I ddnt have any of these but watching this made me realize how cool the 80s were for toys in today's highly PC world a lot of these wouldn't have seen the light of day esp the Skateboard Smak ups and Rude Ralph another awesomely awesome review💚

I know right we had playground equipment that was made from steel we had merry go rounds and wooden teeter totters then they started making everything with plastic because poor baby may hurt themselves LOL!! and you wonder why kids are like they are today lol!!

Contrary to popular belief, political correctness wasn’t something invented in the last decade. They’re just louder now, mostly because of social media. Also, you may think the 80’s was this bad ass time where kids cartoons could be dark, gritty and violent, but to that I feel the need to remind you that He-Man wasn’t allowed to punch anyone. Neither was The Incredible Hulk, or Wonder Woman.

Loving ALL these Weird Toys vids - & I totally got the giggles when you described the Mother-frightening E.T. Finger-Light as "a dingaling". I've never heard that euphemism for what can sometimes be seen twitching in the crotch area of men's pants. My last name is 'van der Lingen', so naturally one of the "highly original" nicknames I received at primary school in the early '70s was - wait for it, wait forrrr writ: 'Dingalingen'. I'm 99.5% sure that none of us were thinking of one-eyed trouser snakes, but rather a term for a 'dum-dum'. So thank you, Laura, I'm going to proudly reclaim that one and have it printed on a tee-shirt asap. :-D

Never saw the dune toys but it is one of my all time favorite movies. True was a bit of a departure from the novel series but sting was huge in the 80s and seeing him as a villain was totally awesome. Lol.

I lost it at "Patty Plate Glass".

I was Senior Design Director at hasbro from 84-88....and was responsible for all of the Boy's products including Inhuminoids.......HATED having to work on that line but we did what we were told. Not exactly the high point in my career but glad that someone like it!

Growing up in the 80's I have to say that I don't remember any of these toys,except....Inhumanoids! Inhumanoids! lol I do remember watching the cartoon and loving it. But over time I've kinda forgotten about it. Then,a few years back I saw a review the Angry video game nerd did on the show and I was thinking,"Holy crap. This show was made for kids??" This would make a great live action horror movie,me thinks.
