    CubeHead - love your videos - I am a 50 something cuber - first learned the cube (ahem) 40 years ago and still have that cube - picked it up a couple of months ago and well I seem to be hooked again - I have been using your tutorials (and J Perms) to get some speed (cross, F2L, 2 look OLL, 2 look PLL) - my best time is a flat 1min but mostly I am @-@ (way off the pace I know) and with using CS timer with four splits I can see the F2L is my weakness - to improve I am trying to not rotate and solve the back slots - your tip about rotating the right way is such a great tip I hope through all this I can get sub-minute (that would be cool)!

    If you solved the cross, and there's also one corner solved at the front left or the front right that you only need to insert the edge to make it your first F2L pair, you can move the solved corner to the back, insert the edge to the front and do a wide U or wide U' move to align the F2L. Or you may want to use wide U move to move the unsolved edge to the back, solve the edge, then move the already solved corner to the back using D or D'.

    -Efficient f2l (most important, watch advanced example solves) -a bit of look ahead+ full cross in inspection - bit faster turnig (try drilling last layer on cstimer should be around 4 or 5 sec)

  • @CubeHead

    @CubeHead

    4 жыл бұрын

    I would say at your stage to not worry too much about the speed but more about the foundation; make sure that your f2l is super efficient, try to avoid unnecessary rotations (I happen to know a great video for that ) and try to take more inspection time than needed to try to start planning first pair, although this may be a bit hard at your level. Also make sure that LL algs are in muscle memory without any hesitation :)
