Mind Games 2, 3* Flying Gear, ng-pomatools.web.app/pairs/14...
This is adapted from skippingmud's clear ( • EX-R 3/5 Champion Cher... ). I wanted some NC Cheren LA clear on my channel for reference and I think he shows what he can do pretty well here.
One of Cheren's problems is that he is a glorified Striker - he has little in terms of crowd control, at least relative to his Tech predecessors in NC Serena and NC Leaf. Cheren mitigates damage with Fly dodges, Slippery Slope and Discombobulate 4. I LOVE EVASION I LOVE EVASION
My adjustments were:
- Denying Flygon with B Bleakwind Storm over Fly, to adjust Latias' pattern a bit
- I went for Mind Games 2 and TM Durable
Defense Crush 2 is normally better than Mind Games 2 against Latias because she raises Def more, thus granting a better chance of breaking Fluid Fortification. Cheren drops Acc and Spe so he handles Fluid Fortification reasonably well, but I was stubborn going for Mind Games 2 because it benefits his better attacks. Anyway, this clear is very unfun. Pray for many Fly MPRs, dodges and Mind Games procs. To make this easier bring Support Clefable or a Flincher I guess.
