    this young woman EASILY has the cleanest forehand i've seen on this channel. her balance and the stillness of her upper body as she moves to and prepares to hit the ball are PHENOMENAL. definitely going to be on the lookout for more from her!

    Say what you will about Patrick, but there is no doubt that he’s a great tennis coach. He is able to articulate to his students what needs to be rectified without throwing a wrench in the machine, so to speak. He does is it with poise, elegance and empathy. I really enjoy how he speaks to his students and how he motivates them with positive reinforcement. Great to see the evolution of a player right before your eyes. All the best to him and his staff as well as his students of course.

    In my opinion , flat FH have more potential to hit the net or out ball as you hit hard. With spin, you can hit as hard as you want with out worry of fault.

    Hi from Hellas(Greece) ! 🇬🇷You always have to use topspin especially when hitting hard and deep in the court. The more you spin the ball with the free use of the wrist, ⬆️👋🏻⬇️the more successful you’ll be with keeping the ball in the court! Best of luck and keep practicing! 🎾 Remember: spin 🟰 ball in the court!!!

  • @gewuerzwiesel123

    @gewuerzwiesel123

    It also has to do with the fact that Roger is left eye dominant being a right handed player, so to keep his dominant eye on the ball on the forehand, he has to look sideways.

  • @glyko86

    Because before trying to hit hard, you need to get the right gesture. Most of the time with the right gesture you get more power and don’t need to hit hard. A lot of player hit hard because that’s the only way they have to get power on a shot with a weak gesture.

  • @glyko86

    His English is more like french translated in English. In French, we would say “n’essaie pas de frapper fort” in English he should something like : “don’t feel obliged to hit hard” or “do no think you have to hit hard”

  • @chorhanglam

    @chorhanglam

    Relaxing makes the power transfer better from the body to the arm, the wrist and the racket. If you try to hit hard but with the incorrect mechanics, your wrist may tense up and the racket ends with less speed and power.

    Quelle jalousie ? Citez moi un nom de joueurs ou joueuse qu'il a sorti par lui même. Il n'a sorti personne. Il s'est juste collé au meilleurs joueurs existants: Williams, Rezai Dimitrov, et d'autres. Il pense qu'à son intérêt. Ce n'est pas de la jalousie mais un fait.C'est un menteur, il n'a sorti aucun joueur, il copie sur les autres. Il prend les mérites du travail déjà accompli par les parents des joueurs. Il ne pense qu'à l'argent.

    My coach reconstructed my forehand and often praised my shot even when it was out cuz she focused on the technique and whether I was hitting the ball correctly. The focus in practice is to perfect the technique, not the result. Accuracy and consistency in the results of your shots will eventually come in time, but first you must master the technique. That’s gonna result in errors at the beginning, especially when you are used to hitting a certain way for years and now are changing your technique. The player and coach are doing exactly what they should in this clip.
