Because the surface tension of the water it pulls the string to make the minimum surface area, I think, in this case, a circle.

If someone’s wondering: 1) This is because of hydrostatic paradox. The pressure of fluid at the same level remains the same 2) I don’t know what the f happened 3) it’s because the stick holding it together is stuck by the stick attaching it and the horizontal one 4) Surface Tension. If you pop a bubble after keeping a ring on it, you will get the same result 5) Simple Mechanics. Water in the glass doesn’t allow more water to fall in because the pressure in the glass water is much more than the pressure in the air in bottle 6) Brownian Motion. Ever water particle that bounces the surface of the ink gets inked. If you ever went to school, I wouldn’t have to explain it to you guys, illiterates. Just Kidding 😂😂

I’ve seen so many shitty videos claiming to have cool science tricks but this video is super fire. All awesome and explainable science phenomena. Especially the 3rd one. Super awesome gravity/force example.

My mind sees all but one of these as very logical, simple principles that I've seen before. But the water bottle/string/stick one hurts. When I see the bottle being held by the weight, the edge of the table looks like an "equals" sign and you're only altering the tension of the string on one side of the equation. Then the weight comes off and my brain tries to reboot every time I see it.

To help your brain, that last stick he puts in props the stick hiding the weight against the brace for the weight, so, for the stick to fall, that last stick would have to rise, which it cannot do, as it’s being pushed down by the same weight that’s holding it up.
