    Small suited connector are definitely worth taking a flop with. Be careful, if you don't improve you must either be ready to let it go on the turn or to pile money into the pot as a bluff. It can be costly to bluff with when you miss the hitting the board.

    Another two great hands to play with are J10s and KQs because they can make the 4th and 2nd nut flush respectively and most people will be too sticky to fold TPTK or two pair when you make a disguised straight.

    if you watched nathan's video on bad players it's very simple: keep your emotions out of it. you're not 12 years old anymore and sometimes things don't go your way. if you get upset when KK cracks you bullets then this game isn't for you. also, use a bankroll that you just don't care about. you have to be able to make the right play long term without being concerned for short term variance

    2:03 - are we taking into account any cards that have been folded by opponents? Cuz you said 2D in hand and 2 on flop is 7D left (11-4=7), yet how do we know nobody has already folded a diamond? I get it for statistics just saying bro got good stats otherwise, also my fav hand to call with that 3B also works with too is 89S. Scary when peeps got the overStr8, yet when suited idk seems to work better haha

    A lot of these hands have reverse implied odds. I wouldn't be flat calling these like 67s, 9Ts, T8s. (yes to pocket pairs, or most suited broadways) 3b or fold to get it HU these hands play terribly multi way. Even if you make your hand, would you feel comfortable going all in deep stack on a 7 high flush.

    I understand to raise first in but what if there are limpers, would you limp behind in late postition or bet preflop?

  • @ElJefe0719

    @ElJefe0719

    Жыл бұрын

    Great question. It’s more profitable to raise over the limpers, according to my database. I would base my decision on whether you can isolate one of the limpers with position, because chances are that these 6 hands (or similar) aren’t smashing the typical microstakes limping ranges. Would be nice to get Nathan’s input on this one.

    Only limp if on BTN/BB facing limpers (as on btn you have absolute final position) If anywhere else in field facing limpers, fold or raise to either isolate and play heads up or close to it, where you can take the pot on a favourable flop / run out with a cbet.

    A5s is a horrible hand to 3 bet light. The vast majority of the time you will be up against a better A (AT+), KK, QQ, JJ etc and you will not make 2 pair, a flush or straight. I have tried 3 betting A5s per BlackRain's advice, villain nearly always shoves, and I'm stacked. Oh, sheesh, I noticed he just said he 4 bets this hand as well. OMG, follow it if you want to lose $$ consistently against tight players.

    Agreed. You generally wind up against big hands , hands that won’t fold like JJ , or in precarious spots when called at low and mid stakes. Sure they this at higher stakes I guess but no need to get cute with A5s , people give you a thin just find with AA, KK, QQ, AK etc so why would they fold to your A5?
