I began living in Chiang Rai in 2011 and have never looked back. I have made a number of videos about Chiang Rai.

I've lived here for nearly 17 years and never had anything
Chiang Rai may be provincial and relaxed but it is not sleepy. Lanna means 1,000,000 rice fields.
Thanks for the great tips. Looking forward to go back to Chiang Rai ..
We love thailand!!!!We love this hotel and the north of thailand, @nVK8, hope see you again. Best wishes from germany

@sue mason. We haven't gotten food poisoning as well and we've tried most of everything in Thailand, except for the insects, not too sure about that just yet...

@@roninblue5885 ive tried crickets and one other insect...not sure what it was.... not very exciting..... but i did try deep fried tarantula in cambodia and that was delicious!! a woman turned up with a bucket full of them while i was in the market......its obviously a bit of a delicacy.... they were selling out like hot cakes!!

I personally feel food poisoning in Cambodia is much more prevalent than in Thailand but I thought I'd die one time I had food poisoning in Thailand... I lived in Chiang Mai. Smecta is your friend with the runs good poisoning but if your gut gets that brick like feeling...prepare to lose weight in all forms of expulsion.

so, what would you do if it was a real possibility of getting food poison from a street vendor? have you ever seen someone or known someone who has had it?
A good summary.
I lived in CR for 18. months and hated it. I called it Gods waiting room where old go waiting to be called boring place. But on a positive note the people were nice and a great place to visit but to live NO.
I lived in Thailand for 2 1/2” years, only once did I get serious food poisoning... seafood at the beach!
You are a Numbeo user for sure :) Since i have checked prices there for many cities xD
How cool can the weather go? Thanks
I dated a girl from Chiang Rai ....I've never been there though. "Ronin Blue". . . Where are you now? You still in Hua Hin?
Chiengrai must be ONE word.
Is it possible to ask you some personal questions on how you retired, I think I have the funds however not sure and not sure about my investments. Let me know thanks. I find your channel very good and helpful.

@Mike Tanner. I have a vlog that may be able to explain. It was a long journey, that can't be summed up in one vlog but it's a good start. kzread.info/dash/bejne/rJear5OFiJXUgbA.html

Hi Scott, This is Sami responding on behalf of Ronin who passed away last year. It's roughly 600k USD, isn't it? I am sure that would last. Please watch out for unpredictable inflation :)
