Another great hike is Suntop lookout (Mt Rainer)! There’s an awesome fire lookout when you get to the peak and it’s only about a 20-25 min walk to get there once you arrive to the gate where you can’t drive anymore. I think you used to be able to drive right up to the top but I think due to some rock fall the road is no longer drivable but that’s ok you can either walk on the trail or the road. Me and my boyfriend prefer the road because you can see the views more than you would if you were walking on the trail through the woodsy area :) it’s very secluded and not many people are there when I’ve visited. Awesome video btw! Can’t wait to check some of these places out 😊

Wow, you've definitely done my state very proud!! Beautiful trails, amazing memories. 🏞️ So actually, the two closest mountains you can see from the Skyline trail at Rainer-Paradise (faces south) are Mt. Adams and Mount St. Helens (which erupted in 1980-leaving a big crater at the top!). It's so gorgeous up there, right? 🌄😉

It's so rare but you can run into mountain lions and bears. Usually keeping a respectful distance is enough to not be a victim of anything, though.

I am not an Olympic guy. But had pals who did the mules there for NPS. personally for the effort I am doing Oregon Coast instead. Yachats to Florence Dunes. Yeah it's farther. But you can drive up Columbia cross at Hood River drive between Helen's and Adam's to Rainier. Bam. Cascades loop no thanks did it twice now. Taking Snoqualmie/Stuart area over any of it.

@@Bemytravelmuse Yep...Lottery now...keep trying...October is Spectacular. You can hike up in one day...two if you want. I think going up via Lake Colchuck is the prettiest and stay for a couple of days(I think). Walk up to Little Anna Perna..for Sunset views..="The Best" Lots of little trees (lartch I think) that are beautiful yellow and tons of Mountain goats...bring a small salt lick...the goats love it. Makes for great photo op and they will get close to you...Best...

Did Fortune Pass/Ingalls Pass. Stunning view of Mount Stuart. And I have worked at Yosemite Yellowstone Rocky BLM AZ STRIP. Rainier I do Chinook Pass. Because you can take the dogs on NF side. Views of Ranier from Naches or Yakima amazing. Snow Lake. Kendall Katwalk. Snoqualmie area. Busy on weekends. As for go to hikes Snoqualmie is easiest. Bam. Done 3 miles your up top. Same for Ingalls Pass/Longs Pass. You can literally run them if in shape. Easy. PCT Kendall katwalk to as far as you want to go. RIGHT OFF I90. You have cell service. Epic view of Rainier. Chimney West if you got game. Okay Shepherd Pass CA is 11 miles. Whitney 12. Washington is king of short approaches.

I sadly haven't been to BC yet! In May there may very well still be snow on a lot of the mountain hikes, so if you're prepared for that then go for it! Some may be inaccessible though.

These are almost all mountain hikes, if you want to know a good forest hike go to Quinault. Closer to Seattle you have Mt. Baker, and near Olympia you have Mt. Ellinor and the Bear Creek trail. You don't seem like a local to be honest.
