Hello my friend: I loved all the recipes you featured! I personally make fried chicken the old Southern way, marinade overnight in buttermilk, salt, pepper & smoked paprika - next day, set bowl on counter for 30 minutes then deep fry in peanut oil, comes out crispy & perfect every time. ❤️ Hugs from Texas .... I am a huge fan of Fried Chix.... My Grandmother ( who was an amazing cook ) taught me how to make Buttermilk Fried Chix, when I was 13 or 14... it's still one of my all time Favorites in regards to Chix recipes. All of these look absolutely delish, .... what is so alluring about this Channel.... you let the Ingredients and Food take Center Stage.... but make no mistake, ..... you shine with your style. Dear Chef Joel, If someone were to give you a ragged, old boot....I'm convinced that you could turn it into something wonderfully edible and inspire others to give it a try....you are amazing. I was eager to watch this video and was hoping that you would include a recipe for Korean fried chicken. It has become so popular in our state(New Jersey) and try as I might, I can't duplicate it. I am allergic to paprika. I usually replace it with tumeric but in the recipes here some already contain tumeric. Can you advice me where to replace it with in that case. I love your recipes.

Every Monday Morning as a 3rd year catering college Student, we were asked by the Lecture... "Did Anyone Eat A Take-away Like KFC or Mackie D. At The Weekend"... I Have Not eaten this for 30 years, Coz I Still wear the scars Drummed Into me... But I tried cooking these recipes and could not get the same results. I tried your way on Saturday with a pinch more Garlic salt... Almost There, I am fairly Sure it could be the oil KFC Use when cooking Chicken. Anyway A Good Fast Food At home Cooking. My Mother of 83 Loved it... What Next on the Menu Chef?

I used to work at KFC many years ago so I think this is the secret spices: Tumeric, Smoked Paprika, Cayenne Pepper, White Pepper, Black Pepper, Basil, Thyme, Garlic Powder, Onion Powder, Cumin Powder and Yeast. Salt is added to the flour but not part of the eleven spices.😊
