6'' Aluminium Extrusion Press In Running Operation

The feature of aluminium extrusion press
1. Hydraulic oil pipe and the structure layout is reasonable, it will be convicence for workers to maintain the aluminium extrusion press easily.
2. The main cylinder steel material can be selected cast steel or forged steel by client's requirement. But we recommend to use the forged steel, because it not only good for resis the high extrusion pressure, but also is good for shippment cause the compact structure of the main cylinder.
3. The plunger pump can be selected Lihao of China or Rexroth of Germany
4. The hydraulic part can be selected Taiwan Jeou Gang or Rexroth of Germany
5. Manual or automatic operation is provided. Sectional speed or constant speed is optional.
6. Automatic protection is applied. The electrical part can be selected the touch screen.
7. Mitsubishi programmable controller and pressure transmitter of Swiss are adopted for hard-core.
8. Dummy block can be chosen for Fixed dummy block or loose dummy block with the no dummy blcok or anti-put dummy block protective device.

Wel, I am used to the gighly automated equipment, even our 50 year old press (bearly used by industry standards) is now running grait with much more automated process. And that induction oven feeder must be a pain in the ass to use.
Why doesn't the press operator have some type of protection on his arms and dude cutting with the chop saw has no safety glasses. That's super crazy.

I operated a 10 inch press in the mid 80s and we weren't offered any arm protection. In fact it was never brought up during the 5 years I worked there. We had asbestos mittens, steel toe boots, and eye and hearing protection. I had more than my fair share of nasty burns to my forearms
safety is are goal!!!
Has it ever happened that the puller machine doesn't work or the alarm communication servo is lost?
similar to the presses we use but the are even more up to date than ours...that's sad.

How many price this machine
Smokes, and no safety glasses. What could go wrong? Hopefully one of the hydraulic lines doesn't blow off.

Can't speak for everyone but we have our billets loaded between 450 and 540°c (480°c is ideal).

We kept our ovens set at 850° F in the States where I worked. The billets were 10 inches in diameter and 30-36 inches long

how out of date is that equipment?? No pullers or even automated hot saw

at the beginning, our client bought the cheap puller and hot saw from other manufacture, it always got problems, the extruder always need to be stopped, so they were very angry to remove it and now they bought a new good quality and latest advance technology puller with hot saw. And the output of the machine increases greatly.
Is it over?...... I fell asleep 😴 within the first 30 seconds
what do you expect for safety protection? This is made in China. Nothing crazy going on there

I smoked on the job eery day when I was operating a press. During the winter, it would get so cold inside the plant that we build fires in 55 gallon drums to stay warm.
Working system not good
This place burned to the ground.
This smacks of poor design. Why does it require an operator to take the billet out of the first machine and "help" it go into the second?
