6/23/24 Pre: A11 with PV Redwood Empire NWP 33 meets A2 at LAUPT
While on YT, we came across a short video posted of A11 earlier today up north with the former ATSF, now NP painted, NWP 33 on the rear of A11. Amtrak ALC42s AMTK 314 & 311 were up on the front.
So we took a chance and caught them at the Main Street crossing near Los Angeles, CA. Luckily the NWP 33 made it all the way back as well. The ATSF paint will be missed but the car looks great with the fresh coat and a new identity of Northern Pacific colors. It is almost similar to the scheme it once wore as the North Coast Pacific Tamalpais years ago (chasingtrains.smugmug.com/Awo....
This clip will show A11 with NWP 33 standing by while A2 Sunset Limited backs into the Los Angeles Union Passenger Terminal. We were unsure how long A11 would sit this time so only got a few stationary shots this round.
