Pastor Gates: Thank you for your thoughts on Daniel 12. I believe it us a dual prophecy the same as Rev 9. The Sunday law is enclosed is the Climate Change bill passed in the United States and was signed into law 16 August 2022. It is based on Laudato Si - Sunday keeping. Dr. Franklin S. Fowler wrote on this and said the only thing missing was the Sunday law which we now have. His outline is as follows: 1260 days from Sunday Law then 30 days (1290) to accept or reject the Sunday law. This will bring us to the end of the 1290 and the beginning of the 1335. This last time frame covers the time of the 7 last plagues and the time of Jacob's trouble. This will bring us to 2026 in the Spring. Jesus will cut the 6000th year short because Satan will be allowed to lie to the "wicked" after our 2000 years in Heaven to try to take New Jerusalem by force.

Remember how Jesus was angry with the Pharasies of His time. They should have known the time of their visitation. Daniel 9 gives us that time. Also, Christ's people are not in darkness. They should have some idea of the time of Jesus's return. We do not have the exact date but are also looking at the Bible and the events happening on this earth.

@@lookingforthetruth8478looking, I have volunteered with David Gates' ministry for 3 months. I know personally some people whose faith was tested by the unbiblical time setting he did. I know that Ellen White states clearly that we are not to set time for anything in the future to happen for that exact reason - when the time passes, some people will lose faith. . I forgive you for not being aware of the issue at hand, and calling me unchristian names. Let us be good Bereans.

The Lord showed me that the message must go, and that it must not be hung on time; for time will never be a test again. I saw that some were getting a false excitement, arising from preaching time, that the third angel's message can stand on its own foundation, and that it needs not time to strengthen it..{1SM 188.3}

It boggles my mind when in Scripture it says he will be coming in a time when you think not. When there will be peace and safety, etc. etc. As a thief in the night. And these so called "time setters" like him and Greg Lang have it all figured out, more then the angels in heaven do, or the son, or even the father, God forbid.

I like to read the comments before deciding on whether to respond; especially after such a video as this. I personally met Pastor David Gates and his wife Becky in 2010. They had the room above me. We were at a Faith Camp in Idaho & he was the main speaker. So i got to observe him and Becky was the first person I saw every AM. In fact we shared a flight back to Seattle and he held my new guitar and we conversed. They're God-fearing servants of Christ, tried and true to God's calling. Pastor David is an extremely active individual. He's ALWAYS busy! I saw him play soccer with young kids and he won! He's quite a character! As soon as I heard him say, " this is a one of the most solemn sermons I've ever preached, "i held my breath because i knew what the next words would be. I recalled Even At the Doors video & he gave a disclaimer back then. And i defended his video even directing comments to Mark Finley. Alot of people marginalized Pastor David. Some, were downright disrespectful. I STILL believe he is a man of God. I believe that he is exhausted and needs to relax, but he'd feel like a fish out of water. It's just not in his genes to be still. I wish he'd stay away from the numbers . Jesus wants us to keep ourselves aware of the signs of His Coming. I know that a few things must happen before the time of the end, like the Shaking, the pouring out of the Latter Rain so that we can give The Loud Cry. When they start PERSECUTION of the SDA REMNANT CHURCH, the WHOLE WORLD will hear the 3 Angel's Message. We will be blamed for the world's calamities. But most importantly, we must prepare to be like Daniel and dare to stand ALONE. Like Daniel and his 3 friends , we must have an ongoing personal relationship with Jesus Christ our Lord. Rome is ready and so SHOULD we be. God will not abandon His own. P.S.: i am disfellowshipped under strange circumstances SDA and i refuse to let go of the Ship. Jesus Christ "has His hand on the wheel and He'll guide the SHIP into port safely." What i know is that Sister Ellen White is right: "the last prophetic movements will be rapid ones. As weather forecast people do, yes gates may error but at times, when weatherman says it is llikely to rain. They look at many factors. Sometimes they get it right and it actually rains. The things we see going on in this world are indicative of a looming storm. I agree with gates out time is out. Better prepare and not rain than not prepare and it rains on you.

Problem is, he’s done it many times. It makes people feel anxious and the walk away because his prediction doesn’t materialise. I do see the intent but I see him loosing credibility more and more when you set specific years for specific events and they don’t come to happen. Remember “even at the door”?

Please people listen to what Ellen White has to say regarding messages involving time: The people will not have another message upon definite time. After this period of time [Revelation 10:4-6], reaching from 1842 to 1844, there can be no definite tracing of the prophetic time. The longest reckoning reaches to the autumn of 1844.-The S.D.A. Bible Commentary 7:971 (1900).

Well meaning, but too scattered for me. Insufficient biblical proofs for his major points. That's my take.

I remember great mission reports shared by David over the years. However it's disappointing that David has been led by the Enemy to date set the Second Coming. The Bible is clear: Mark 13:32 [32 ]But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father. Revelation 10:6 [6] And sware by him that liveth for ever and ever, who created heaven, and the things that therein are, and the earth, and the things that therein are, and the sea, and the things which are therein, that there should be time no longer: "time no longer" means no more date specific prophecies would be given by the Lord. 1844 was the last prophetic date marker. Time setting of when God's people will be sealed, the latter rain, the close of probation and the Second Coming of Jesus Christ is led by the Enemy. Why does David Gates date set over and over again? Why has he not accepted the plain truth from God's Word? Pray for David Gates that he will repent of the work of the Enemy. When he date sets, and Jesus doesn't come on that date, it causes vulnerable brethren to distrust God and distrust God's Word.

The earliest I have seen a Sunday law is with the Project 2025 for next year

No it hasn't. We have made a nearly 70-year mistake in the reckoning of the passage of time following the captivity in Babylon. We are actually still short of the 6,000. However, we should NOT be setting times!

Hi friend, The 1290 and 1335 both have a commencement year of 508 AD Notice what the Bible says will happen at the end of 1335 days/years: Daniel 12:12-13 12 Blessed is he that waiteth, and cometh to the thousand three hundred and five and thirty days. 13 But go thou thy way till the end be: for thou shalt rest, and stand in thy lot at the end of the days. Notice it says that Daniel would be standing in his lot at the end of those days! Notice what Mrs. White says: Blessed is he that waiteth, and cometh to the thousand three hundred and five and thirty days. But go thou (Daniel) thy way till the end be: for thou shalt rest, and stand in thy lot at the end of the days.” AUCR March 11, 1907, par. 9 Daniel is today standing in his lot, and we are to give him place to speak to the people. Our message is to go forth as a lamp that burneth. March 11, 1907, par.10 Mrs White clearly states that Daniel is standing in his lot and the Bible stated that he could only stand in his lot at the end of days! A very important prophetic historical did occur at the beginning of the days in 508 AD Perhaps if you can't find it in our pioneer writings I can explain it. Blessings

That is why some of the Millerites tried valiantly to find something of note in 509 to start this prophecy, but couldn't. . Ellen White states that Michael has not stood up yet. Her letter to Br. Hewitt is very interesting, but difficult to understand if his error is believing the time is over or not. She also writes that the last part of Daniel 11 will have a future fulfillment. . The plain reading of Daniel 12 shows that it has a future fulfillment, as Michael has not stood up, and the great time of trouble has never happened yet. . If you have further information on this issue, I would be interested in studying it. Thank you, and God bless.

Believers before us may not have understood their time till after but it can’t be like that with us living at the end of time. Our focus must be Gods word. Jesus said if you want to know the end go to book of Daniel and when daily(what ever it may be , but it’s not a sacrifice)is taken away and abomination of desolation (false messiah) sits where he ought not, start counting 1290 literal days(we don’t have time for yrs any more) Keep searching, I believe that all Gods ppl in the end will understand the end time exactly the same regardless of the denomination

Why does pastor Gates think the 1260 days are literal days? I always thought those are years, ending in 1798.

We were told in last days events by Ellen white that we can see fulfilment of prophecy history. Ecclesiastes states the the same in 3: 15. Since the pope ruled for 1260 days or 3 1/2 years. The principle could be applied in terminal of the number but not Prophetic days. Note that Jesús ministry was also 1260 days or 3 1/2 years. After his baptism at 27 AD Autumn and crucificaron at 31 AD spring. Am not affirming is belief but the historical principle of 3 1/2 I believe to be true which ever year it starts. And to make more interesting. Jesús did not say we will not know the year. He clearly states, of that day or hour no man knoweth, nor the angels, nor He himself. Therefore the year will be known before. The Season is already known to be in the Autumn of the year. Christ will come in the Autumn of whatever year it is. In Acts 1 in told the disciples that it was not for them to know the times or the seasons which God put in His own power. Hence no man will know it unless revealed by God. Therefore caution should be taken in making bold statement. Blessings.

You can find in Daniel and Revelation and several other places in the Bible where 3 1/2 years is mentioned. Please note that in Revelation, it is made abundantly clear by also referring to this time as 42 months and 1260 days. God bless you in your studies.

There are various ways to show that 6000 years is past! Here is one from Ellen White: The controlling power of appetite will prove the ruin of thousands, who, if they had conquered on this point, would have had the moral power to gain the victory over every other temptation. But those who are slaves to appetite will fail of perfecting Christian character. The continual transgression of man for over six thousand years has brought sickness, pain, and death as its fruit. And as we draw near the close of time, Satan's temptations to indulge appetite will be more powerful, and more difficult to resist. {CTBH 154.2}

Remember that the word "over" can mean "spanning," i.e. "over a period of 6,000 years." Then the statement can be properly aligned to her other statements without contradiction. If she actually meant "over" in the sense of "in excess of," then this outlier statement contradicts some others, which is why we know it cannot mean exceeding here.

Why? Why are you always trying to calculate something? What happened in 2015? 2018? “Even at the door”? God doesn’t ask you to share this message, this is speculation only. And by speculating you’re making people anxious and the disappointed.

Uncle David, thank you for your work and your many years of service! Thanks for being out there preaching and using your gifts for the Lord, But if don't have a thus says the Lord (Scripture for 2024 or 2027 - why does it need to begin this year ? There is no Biblical reason) please don't tarnish your influence more then it already has suffered ( some through your own doing), we need you to encourage the next generation, show how they can get involved and have Hope for the Future, in a few years I pray that you will see the folly of your date setting and humble yourself and publicly admit that the focus was wrong combining it with dates, I am sure your Heart is genuinely honest but we can be sincere and still wrong...emphasize watchfulness yes of course and live by example, that's witness enough, there will be no blood on your hands for making claims based on dates... Blessings and please prayerfully consider this matter, God bless you in your Mission Work!

@@melpu310melpu, Sadly, Pr. David got zero predictions right in the past, except that right before the September, 2008 crash, he gave a sermon saying that there would be a crash. He has made many other predications since them, all mistaken. What does God say to do to false prophets?

Our pioneers did the chronology and were shown that 6000 years ended in the autumn of 1844. They noticed a mistake made in Bishop Usher's chronology. Usher's calculated autumn 4004 BC for the creation of the world. William Miller and other pioneers saw the mistake and that Bible chronology shows that the world was created in the autumn of 4157 BC If you have an Ellen White CD-ROM you can read for yourself their evidence in the words of the pioneer section.

The prophetic chart of Miller, et al., never included this misinformation about the 6,000 years, fortunately, lest we should accuse God, whom Ellen White said had a hand in the making of that chart. The pioneers were Bible students, but may not have understood these details correctly. In fact, perhaps where they made the more significant error was to assume that nearly 70 years passed following the 70 years of Babylonian captivity before the decree was given to restore Jerusalem which initiated the 490-day/year prophecy of Daniel. I believe that prophecy was actually started in motion when Cyrus first proclaimed that Jerusalem was to be rebuilt. This means the reduction of about 70 years prior to 457 B.C., meaning we are still well short of 6,000 since Creation. EGW states it very clear the World lost in a perfect Garden was won back in a garden desert. She makes that clear.

We are not left in doubt as to when the 4000 years ends and when the last 2000 years starts. Based on the slaying of the first passover lamb, we know the starting point of the last 2000 years.

@@renarich4942 Study the history of the first passover. That is when the isrealites journey from Egypt to the promise land. 40 years. Study the fulfilment of the passover lamb and that is when how long spiritual Isreal will be travelling to the heavenly promise land. Include in your study leviticus 25 to see what Jubilee years mean. i.e 40 x 50 = 2000 years. It all makes sense that the last 2000 years of the 6000 years starts at the spring of AD 31 when Jesus was crucified. Not only that but study GC - Destruction of Jerusalem. Almost the same time and Jerusalem was finally destroyed in AD 70. Again 40 years from when Jesus cried for Jerusalem. Why 40 years we may ask? it is exactly the same message for us as of Isreal travelling from egypt to the promise land and same manner of when Jerusalem was destroyed and in addition same manner as when Jesus had to be tempted by the devil for 40 days. Pastor Gates is right on target because he is aware of the times in which we live. Thus he is speaking to the times in which we live because the time is at hand. He is not date setting! Every SDA should know that prophetic time has ended, and that we are now living on borrowed time. That's why every SDA should wake up. I have heard of the 6000 year theology before. We know that time is no more in other words time chronology has ended in 1844. This is the first time i have heard of Christ coming the year of a Jubilee. It sounds very evangelical. Understanding of prophesy is certainly not exclusive to any denomination but is God waiting to make His decision for Christ to come based on a certain time? Or is he waiting for a people that will represent his perfect righteousness amongst the symbolic tribes of Israel, meaning around the world? Where people will truly represent the love of God. I believe Christs return is soon but I don’t know if the 6000 year theology is right

God's time and waiting foe His people are simultaneous events. 6000 yr theology was believed by most of our pioneers, and this makes sense, but we should be careful not to set time like in this video as God may extend or shorten the time. Also, I don't think 1290 and 1260 from Dan 12 are literal days.

Correction: Chronology has not ended, but all dates set upon "definite time" have ended. When specific numbers are applied, as in year numbers, to me that is "definite time," exactly what Ellen White warned us against. The 6,000-year prophecy is not one which sets a definite time. We cannot work it out precisely, only approximately. So it is an "indefinite" time and cannot give us any year of significance for the end-time events. The Jubilees are looked at by those who want something more "definite," but due to the prophecy in Revelation 10:5-6, all such persons are destined for failure. We simply cannot, and will not, know the times of the significant final events.

Thanks for this. I am wondering if Pastor has notes on the timelines of Daniel 12 i.e. the starting and ending. Please assist.

Over 30 years ago I did a several thousand hour study on all the dates given in the Bible. I logged every reference to time. Here are a just few thoughts to keep in mind. In Genesis (5:3-28) we are given 9 birth dates that add up to 1056 years to Noah's birth. Was each child born on his father's birthday or 364 days later ? Already you have a margin of error of 8 years 357 days. This holds true for all the times years are given. Gen. (5:3) says Adam was 130 years old when Seth was born. Is this time given from creation or the fall ? When you live forever, does God or man count years ? How long was Adam in Eden before the fall ? Any one Have any Biblical dates to answer that question ? 2 more points from my study, I believe the 10 commandments given from Mt. Sinai were given before the Code of Hammurabi and not the reverse. I also came to the end of the 6000 years ( without any margin of error) being 1843 A.D.. Thank you for your time on this long post, Don.

Pr. David Gates has obviously not studied Biblical chronology very thoroughly. He is off, as is to be expected when one understands what Ellen White predicted would occur. Based on Ellen White, there were two directions the time setters would go: too early, then too late. Both would be harmful. Souls will be lost for these false predictions. No servant of God should be making them!

Maybe these people ought to study for themselves just like the Bereans did to see whether what they are being told is correct or not. What if it is correct? If it is not they have lost nothing. In the days of Israel the type, the Jubilee was ushered in at the close of the day of Atonement. In like manner the Anti-typical Jubilee will follow the anti-typical day of atonement. Isaiah 30:30, Isaiah 14:17, Isaiah 49:25.The trumpet of the Lord's Jubilee will resound through the length and breadth of the land. Saints sleeping in Satan's prison-house, the grave, will be delivered forever from the power of Satan. When do these saints arise? At the second coming. Thus Christ will return at the beginning of the Jubilee like David Gates mentioned.

Past Rafferty (3ABN) visited Pakistan and stated all of the Muslim nations but Saudi Arabia have the Sunday law. They do not conduct business on Sunday.

I like pastor Gates and I respect him and his messages but what did the comment about the Free Adventist church has to do with his sermon? It seems he always tries to put a dosis of contradiction or a sutil message against the General Conference. This is what I don’t understand. Is pastor Gates still Seventh Day Adventist? It is possible that the date of the Great Disappointment of the SDA Pioneers which was October 22, 1844 (Autumn-Fall) will be same date that Jesus may come. Walter Veith covered this exact same topic in great detail 3 years ago in his sermon “Is this the End” Ellen White states in her book (Confrontation, the Temptation 32.1) that right after Jesus’s baptism in the wilderness of temptation, (27AD) marked exactly 4000 years since Adam had fallen. Both Walter Veith and David Gates have come to the same conclusion. As stated by Ellen White, the Great Controversy ends at 6000 years. (4000 years at 27AD + 2000 = 2027)

mendlyn, Ellen White certainly never said that it was exactly 4,000 years since Adam had fallen, and she most certainly never says the Great Controversy ends at 6,000 years. Ellen White did definitely write, tho, that we are never ever to set a date for the fulfillment of anything in the future. Let's stop setting dates, and call on Pr. David Gates to stop too.

They never happened. . What did God tell ancient Israel to do to those who prophesied false things in their day?

Pastor David gives some great information about Jesus starting his ministry on a Day of Atonement, but then goes off in weird directions, saying that generals won't command wars anymore, but AI will do that. Then he goes on to say AI "is a tool of Satan to enslave mankind". But perhaps we SDAs can use it to reach more souls for Jesus? Then he goes way off the rails at 34:50 saying: "It depends on when the 6,000 years finishes. Pr. David, haven't you learned anything from your ridiculous prophetic failures of the past? Repent!

My bro. Are you Adventist, if you are do you know our history. How God led a movement speaking of His coming in 1844. Yes They were off track but had a different meaning and God loved His people. Pr Gates says He is not sure but ain't good to risk waiting til the date is done. It's better to prepare so that if it was the fact then we are Good rather than being caught offline. My bro. Did you know the apostles thought Christ was coming at their time.. My bro. Do you really love the appearing of our Lord if you do then be prepared anytime lest the door of mercy close you out. @@edimaemmanuel But remember Ellen White's words: "Error is never harmless." Mixing truth with error is something the Devil is proficient in doing. Why should a pastor do so as well? If he does so, it is right to warn both him and his hearers, in keeping with Ezekiel 3 and 33.

He didn't set a date. He said "IF". There is a difference. And you certainly don't prepare for the second coming by ignoring the clear evidence of it's nearness while supposing it may not be for another 50 years

Noah did not warn the people by time setting? He warned the world back then not by time setting but by telling the, to repent. Where in the Bible says that Noah knew when The world was going to be destroyed? He did not say that God would destroy the world in such and such year, or did he? Anywhere in the Bible we see a example of Gods servants preaching the last warm message by setting time! Not Noah, not Elijah, not John the Baptist, not Jesus, not John in the isle of Patmos. Why should we, last day people, preach the 3 angels message and mix that message with time setting? Is that what God is asking us to do? If yes, where is that written in the Bible and SOP? This is not being judgmental, but instead following Isa.8:20. We need to test the spirits and everything that is being sad, if it fits into the narrative in the Bible and SOP. When Jesus told the disciples about the destruction of Jerusalem and the end of times, did He told the disciples about years or dates, or months when the things would eventually happen? Not even Jesus himself did that, why do we need to do that? Jesus is our example and he didn’t not do that. The Bible also says that He will do nothing without revealing it to His prophets. Question, where is this that David said , revealed in the SOP?

Again, you fail to understand the statement. This statement does not directly address Adam, or Creation. It addresses Satan. Satan was once Lucifer. There are two words presented for which the "more than six thousand years" applies: _deceive_ and _allure._ Even during Lucifer's perfect years in Heaven, he was practicing the latter. It is not necessarily sinful to have _allure._ And even if we were to suppose that it was, we still do not know how much time passed between his first sin in Heaven and Adam's sin here on earth, nor whether the six thousand years may apply specifically to this earth's timeline, as predicted by earth's first week.

Date setting again I see. You are sincere, but sincerely mistaken.

Dear Brother Gates. Please check Spirituals writings. We are NOT to set dates. The Bible says no man knows the day or the hour. Please refrain from this. You may mean well but you are in great error. Pray against the spirit of pride and fanaticism. What is motivating you to be so fixed on dates? Please pray on this.

Oh no! David David, please study the pioneer writings! 6000 years ended in 1844! Mrs White says that no time prophecies extend past the autumn of 1844. So think about this. If the 6000 years is a prophecy then it had to end in 1844! If not then it is relevant! Mrs White says that there will never be another message based on time. She also says that time has lasted more than 6000 years!

Hi They both did. According to Mrs. White and our pioneers. There can be no prophetic time passed the Autumn of 1844. Our foundational taught with proof and chronology that 6000 years terminated in 1844

@@donfrost1305 What you have not yet understood is that the Bible itself contains the seven-millennium prophecy which is not based on exact dates. However, those of us who have understood the prophecy do not believe Jesus will come late, because the seventh "day" is the Sabbath. Coming late would imply that Sabbath is broken. Nay, the Bible says he will cut the time short--what "time" can Jesus cut short if there is no time? There is a time, it's just not one that we will know. This "time" is not a part of our message as a "definite time." If you would like to look into the seven-millennium prophecy of the Bible, you may find 2 Peter 3 in comparison with Genesis 1 to be quite helpful; then turn to Daniel 4 and look at what happened to Nebuchadnezzar--look carefully at not just the time, but the event/fulfillment. When was the last time you saw an eagle eating grass? Prophecies use symbols. To understand them, one must first understand those symbols. Study to show thyself approved unto God. There is, of course, also Noah's seven days. Remember Psalm 90:4 in addition to 2 Peter 3:8.

No matter when Jesus comes, this pastor is wrong. He is wrong for basing his message upon specific dates. He is wrong even to be looking for a date. The Bible says "no man knoweth the day nor the hour." We will not know when probation closes. We will not know when the seven last plagues will fall. We will not know when Jesus will come until the very last, after the other important events have become history, and the saints hear the voice announcing this time. No, David Gates is not the herald of the time of Jesus' coming! God Himself will handle that one. Pr. Gates, you have been warned already by Ellen White, and should know better. Leave the setting of dates ALONE. If you haven't already studied this, you might perhaps look at Ellen White's messages regarding Revelation 10:5-6.
