@@lovelove-ue5jq Faizon once stated he wanted more money and WB cut the budget for the show for that rushed 5th season. Parent Hood was initially canceled but revived from the dead a few days later after WB's 1999-2000 upfront. I'm not sure what led to last minute revival, I always felt Townsend asked 'let me tie up loose ends and get at least 90 episodes for syndication.'

With all the negative images of our people on TV, in music, and in movies back in the 1990s he wasn't having it so he made this show. If you don't like the show or Robert's artistic license then watch something else on KZread. Damn.

wow...just wow. this is actually one of the first sitcoms..heck. first shows ever to appear on the WB. yes, when it was promos of the WB backlot with the damn singing frog from the Looney Tunes shorts. Also Cleghorne, Unhappily Ever After (with Bobcat as a talking bunny, Nikki Cox AND E himself, Kevin Connelly. Yes freaking E from Entouraqe got his start on that show) and that show with the white teacher who acted black. i alwaqys forget the name of it. The record label that published and owned the original Money, Money, Money song probably wanted too much money or they didn't want to to clear the song for the show, so in turn this generic version was used.
