You see I kind of wish what you just said is what people in general would think. Some people get way too out of control with the division of brands. And not everybody has thousands of dollars to sink into an RC some only have maybe a hundred bucks and you know what If they get enjoyment from that hundred bucks spent versus a thousand then it's all good.

My main RC is actually a SBR2.0, that one btw was underrated to me cause I succeeded to make it very better with just few tweaks BUT… I still don’t have a big MonsterTruck and that one… not only I ABSOLUTELY LOVE how it looks, but it also performs like a damn good 1/8 scale

I don't have one but like watching the videos on the Vigilante. I'd lower the punch maybe to 3 to preserve those idler gears going to the center diff. Yes Redcat is know for positive camber. I can see you respecting that 850 price tag with barely any parts out yet so you are getting a feel for that massive truck. Great video!

It’s a redcat they’ll be plenty of parts , the more popular it is better chances aftermarket making parts too .

Love your videos and absolutely love this truck, its amazing how it drives/handles, the small trucks roll over just way too easy, i have a 1:16 and a 1:18 and they are too small for their speeds, and i just got a Laegendary 1:10, for me its like having my own small budget Vigilante, if i could only find a square body like that for it, point is, i love how RARE is for the Vigilante to roll over, its like watching a real truck almost, 1:10 i have does alright, but this, this is something else. Keep up the good work, very few videos on this truck are this real and informative, most seem focused on just jumping the highest for views, its a $1000 buy (including batteries, easy) to mess with it that way.

That happen to me in the same spot the screw was right there and I was able to put it back in. Also you should check your front and rear diffs. They come with very little diff oil.

So far after several packs it's running GREAT

Like the look of this, been watching plenty of vids on it and waiting for you to upkoad your running video. Had an Xmaxx but sold it pretty much because whilst it was great for jumping, if you were on flat land it was pretty shite. Handled like an unstable tea trolley. The Redcat looks like it's going to be great on jumps and ripping about on the flat. 👌

This truck needs to go to Diamond Dust! With the X-Maxx, I feel they put more engineering into beefing it up for the inevitable crashes. With the Vigilante, I feel they put more engineering into PREVENTING the crashes. Still seems like a tough truck, even if you have a few screws loose 😉 haha

One major issue for me. If I was to have one would be the lack of personalized upgrades nobody really messes with red cat in the way of a bulletproof rig. Sure, you can upgrade electronics or colorful parts with some 3-D printed stuff but that’s literally about it.

You see though that's just a thing with smaller companies branching out and making parts because of 3D scanning and CNC machining equipment things are becoming easier to do than ever before because of technology. Years ago I would have had to make something out of popsicle sticks in order to fix something now there's all different types of 3D printing It doesn't need to be layer style and then the advantage of having a scanner makes things so much easier than ever before. I for one don't mind going with the underdog RC such as this because why does something or why does everything have to have an upgrade sometimes it's just not necessary.

Because the other diffs are light they take a second to spool up

The reason you didn’t have those kind of smiles with your X Maxx is because that thing handles like a Kraton or Outcast, but it’s built like a monster truck, like a X Maxx. It’s what the X Maxx could have been if Traxxas didn’t make it so difficult with all of their proprietary design bullshit. That thing comes with a 1/5 scale servo, which the X Maxx desperately needs but you can’t fit in unless you go with the Vitavon chassis, and more easily mod-able on the esc/ motor as well. I love my X Maxx’s, but it’s like you have to walk on water to make it perform the way it should, and even then there is always a short coming.

Need to lock😮tight everything that goes in metal. That’s what I’ve seen anyways. I went to go rip yesterday but played some disc golf first. Was bullshitting with my buddy first and forgot to lock my doors and someone stole my Mojave 4s! So bummed man my wife got it for Christmas and it’s one of my favorites! @@rcguygarage ...so it seems to work out pretty good by just plugging them in. I think I would still use a connector that goes female xt90 to male ec5. That way it connects to a tighter fit.

As far as the car goes, in my honest opinion it looks like an Outcast and an Xmaxx had a baby and they made it ugly. Not really impressed with it, performance-wise at least, up to this point. I was kinda hoping i'd get over how (don't wanna say ugly so i'll say) not-pretty it is because of how fun it is, but i still think 1/5 scale is waaaaaaaaaay too much for me to have fun

It’s the other way around you have spend double the price as this to make them perform the same even if the Xmaxx ends up being more durable . Widekit esc servo and too many parts pritortary we see if these are durable and supported that’s where traxxas is a smart buy . These will get better or go on sale and stay the same . Traxxas sets the pricing in the rc market the more people support other companies the better .

Nope, lol. Redcat will always leave a bad taste. Pretty unreliable in my opinion.
