I have visited three specialists, ortho, sport injury, physio and you described things better than others. A+
This was the best medical presentation I have ever seen. I am at the end of my third month in a full walking boot. I wish my doctor could have shown me the x-rays or used a diagram or a model. Very well done.

@@andrewvincent1579 Crutches, or use a wheel chair, OR..... try a stool with wheels, that way you can use it to wheel yourself around, and to even rest ur injured let on it, like resting your knee on the stool, while standing up with the good leg... hope that made sense 🙂 Ps: Jesus is coming soon ppl, pray for healing and it will come too... Great video , thank you . I broke my foot working out and I have an avulsion fracture. I was prescribed Voltaren for pain and an air boot. I was told to use crutches when walking, so I’m able to put weight on the foot. The pain has decreased drastically , I’m on my 2nd week since the injury. Do you recommend waking on the foot, can I do lil exercises like toe movements/ankle rotations and should I continue to rest and ice ?
Hi, what does it mean ortho f/v at 4:10? I have Jones fracture now, it is refractured, the first fracture was a half year ago. During the "accident"my foot had very little load (twisted ankle what happens with everyone almost every day) and fractured again. No jumping, no running. Will it happen every year? The bone displacement is very small, the doctor suggested plastic boot without any surgery treatment.
What about a localized pain when you press on the head/neck of the metatarsal bone?
thanks for this.
Top notch!
thank you!
Thanks, Your is Video Very Helpfull
Is there any podiatrist out there somewhere that will answer real questions without all the BS and running around some 5th metatarsal infection that got away from them all the way to the 4th and 3rd just some answers please
I have soft tissue inflammation on 1st metatarsal. It is taking a long time to heal and it is very painful. Please advise.I am wearin g a hard heavy boot from podiatrist but it is still pretty bad. Please help me.Thank you.
Good Evening I've been told I've broken my 5th metatarsal a 3 weeks ago along with damaging the ankle ligaments, I'm currently awaiting an ultrasound too see how badly they are damaged but I've got moon boot, my foot is extremely painful and swollen, is this normal please
Very informative
Thanks
I have a stress fracture in the base of the fifth metatarsal in my right foot
WOW now that was spot on for an explanation. Except what if its some sort of "fasciitis" a muscle that attaches to that bone?

how to know someone have Jones fracture or not, without visit to orthopedic? i have injured my 5th metatarsal 3 times in 4 month. 1st i'm doing brisk walk, 2nd when hiking hill, and the third one repeating injury not long after the second one. i went to regular clinic every time, and doing x-ray once, and find no fracture. the doc suspect i have a sprain muscle at first, but another doc suspect i have a problem with my nerve. the pain is unbearable, my foot swollen and have difficulty to walk. with RICE treatment, it take almost 2 weeks to heal and to walk normally. is my repeated injury related to Jones fracture?

Foot inverted history with pain on the outside of foot. i myself am suffering from Jones fracture.
Yeah ur awesome
Planted on my foot pretty hard playing basketball a few hours ago. Theres pain in the outside of my foot just above the 5th metatarsal (I believe). However, theres no swelling or bruising, just pain when I walk. Should I be worried?

Game changer I hurt it a month ago and starting a few days ago I’ve been running 3 miles a day and sprinting. I’m wearing an ankle brace so it helps. You’ll be fine. There’s always a more increased risk of re injury after you’ve sprained badly once

Thank you so much! I am a fighter and was in camp for my next bout and I fractured the last one that takes 4-6 weeks which I’m hoping it heals much faster to that I can fight on the next card. Anyone have this one and it healed sooner then 4 weeks ? Was your foot ever the same again?

I was doing bmx and fucking fell and i have the same fracture there do you know if its gonna take long to recover?
I just got a fracture on the 5th metatarsal. The doctor did put a NWB synthetic cast around it and has asked me to keep it that way for 6 weeks. Watching the videos and then the X-rays, I am not sure if mine is a Jones fracture or a stress fracture as the crack line seems to be close to the line delineating both the zones. Hopefully it will get better. If not basketball, I at least want to return back to running :(

@@kumarkumar-lp7te It took 3 months for the bone to heal. I am not running yet but I can do my normal walks. I even play light basketball once in a while, mostly shooting around and not much running. The body(mind) just doesn't let me run or put any kind of stress on my injured foot, even if I want to.

I want to amputate this part of my foot it's been 4 years that if had pain in this part of my left foot I am tired of this I just want to feel normal again it feels like you are stepping on a pebble the whole time, when I went to the doctor's the xray said no fracture a sprain, I am tired of this I get fatigued real easily after being on my feet for 8+ hours a day, I get home and I'll I do is get on my phone for the rest of the day because of being limited on what I can do, it makes me feel hopeless just want to lay my foot on some train tracks and get my foot chopped off, FML
@FallingOranges

Maybe see if you can get your doctor to check for swelling around the bone, only reason I'm suggesting this is because I'm currently suffering from foot pain myself, (feels like I'm stepping on a pebble like yourself at the best and like my foot's stuck in a clamp at the worst) and while I need an MRI scan to confirm, my x-ray showed evidence of swelling in this area.
Dr never explained to me which type of fracture I have. I was put on a cast for a day. Then the boot for 8 weeks. Then the Dr took the boot away and asked me to wear some type of ortho shoe ( to avoid further injury ). From what I know ( which is not alot ), it will eventually heal... but most likely take forever. 😭😭😭😭😭
