Nice, I’ve been looking at these drawers for awhile. Do you think it’s possible to just place the drawers in the back on the OEM mat and anchor down to the 4 4runner tie down points?

You could, you would still need to add a spacer in there. There is more than one way to do it for sure.

That's seems like a lot of assembly for the price.

While it is a lot of assembly they quality is well worth it. The drawers slide like butter.

I bought these drawers from an off road outfitting shop online, and they were sold as custom fitted for a 5th gen 4Runner. I thought I was buying a product that was a perfect fit for the vehicle, but that’s is absolutely not true. These are generic drawers made to fit a variety of vehicles, and they use the sad looking wing kit to make it appear to be vehicle fitted. Thanks for making the video, but sadly I’m hugely disappointed in the drawers. Why on earth would I want to waste 2+ inches of space by installing 2x4 boards on the bottom??? And the fit of the wing kit is pathetic. The drawers are also ridiculously heavy. I have deep regrets buying this junk. Happy to sell mine if someone offers me a decent price.

If you want custom fit drawers check out Goose Gear. Front Runner also has some options. All drawer systems will require spacing the drawers up a couple inches so that the drawers can clear the rear of the vehicle. Unfortunately there isn't a system out there that does not waste that couple inches.

@@OverlandersHQAdventures yes, I really regret not spending a little more on a Goose Gear system. So much slicker, and no need to drill through the floor. A much better solution

What the heck? Do they really not tell/show you what needs to be added under the drawer system to make it fit?!?!? Also, no templates for getting an exact fit? And the bolts don't fit??? Really? Really? And, every time you hit a rock...you get the hear those little top panels go clackity clack metal against metal???

Once installed the drawers are worth all of the work. The tie down points are spring loaded so they do not rattle.

@@OverlandersHQAdventures Never mentioned the tiedown points. I was talking about the loose panels that sit on top. They appear to just sit there and make quite a bit of noise...like metal on metal when you put them in place. I would imagine they would be extremely noisy on a trail. Thoughts?

@@sharingtheadventure sorry I thought the tie down points is what you were referring to. There are no loose panels, I may not have shown every step but the top pieces are secured and do not rattle. Not part of the drawers rattle or make noise on the trail
