As an Australian fan of roughly 6 years, their accents are SO HARD FOR ME TO FOLLOW NOW. Ashton has almost completely lost the Aussie accent, it’s nuts 😂

It's so interesting that their accents are fading. My neighbor is Australian and has lived in the US for maybe 15 years but she still has a strong Aussie accent. Maybe it's cause they left when they were still teenagers?

It’s possible that they go back to Australia like for vacation and that’s why they still have a Australian accent but most of the time you will lose your Australian accent if you live in the US for a long time

I grew up in the south until I was 11 years old and moved to Australia and have lived there for 10 years! Still have a very American accent (although very neutral and no longer southern) with no hint of an Aussie one coming through haha! Bit of a shame that I never picked one up cause Aussie accents are the best!

Same but idk if it could be his anxiety I do that sometimes in public conversation I have a hard time giving eye contact and I’m normally good. So I look around to ease my nerves even though when speaking I look totally chill when inside I’m really freaking out. I’m not claiming Ashton is feeling like this but I know he said he struggles with anxiety and depression so I think maybe that’s what is going on.

When other people are talking Ashton looks like he’s deeply analyzing what they are saying. I think it’s really nice how he appears to be doing that. It shows that he’s interested in the conversation and is willing to give feedback onto what he thinks about whatever the other person is saying!

I remember when I first became a fan of them, maybe in like 2020 I had no idea where they came from. normally im quite good at recognising accents but I had trouble with these boys. first I thought they were Australian, then I was like American. and I kept going back and forth and I had no idea if they were Australian, American or British until I learned that they were all Australian

People should just leave their accents alone they been in America so long of course it would change and they probably get so annoyed if the same question over and over again

So true I been saying this for a while when you keep bringing this question up it kinda bothering them, cause in a way yes your saying they lost their accents but they could be mistaking it as you saying their not Aussie enough and that’s a lie. They still are just a a young age they traveled around and stayed in places where their accents weren’t fitting enough so people could understand them it’s more of the matter of them switching on and off so people can get them rather than just them completely not speaking with an accent cause it disappeared as some joke.

I luv Luke and all,but the thin strand of hair on his forehead that's curling in *completely* different direction is annoying the fck outta me.

That’s what Ashton was explaining in a interview English is a universal accent for some reason it’s taught in different countries I know. So that’s another reason for the switching it’s merely for helping others understand not like they lost them. I don’t have a accent well maybe ( they say people in Michigan does but i don’t hear it) but not living in another country besides America. Idk how it feels from your prospective to hear other accents and try to fully get what they are saying.
