kai lani Ashton rarely gets them because he can’t play the drums and do vocals the whole time. He REALLY invests into the drumming and when he does have a solo he really struggles to finish it because he’s so into the drumming, and fans usually do it. (Not complaining) but that’s usually why they don’t give him one.

Kat Marie i... i know that. im well aware of how much calum and michael used to sing. my point is they’ve really strayed away from the boyband stereotype and into the band instead. calums bass riffs have gotten much more complex than his simple riffs during self titled and sgfg and now that luke doesn’t play guitar on stage anymore michael has to do all the guitar work instead of just half, and doesn’t have luke to take over the instrumental melodies when he sings. so it would be pretty hard for them to sing playing their instruments the way they do now, which is what it typically means being a band, rather than a boyband or boygroup

They don't need the autotune, but I think it was a creative choice and not a necessity. Plus I think if that would've given some of the high notes to Ashton, he would've done amazingly. Luke falsetto is absolutely incredible. If they would have just used themselves for some of the harmonies it would've set the song up another level. I love the synthetic drums and bass in here. It suits the song magnificently. It's an amazing song that pushes Luke's range just a bit more. Incredible.❤️
