Si te preguntan, "Te crees chingon o que?" Diles, "no me creo...SOY!" That was amazing. Sometimes I shock my friends with my "shade-tree mechanic" skills and attention to detail like, "torque wrench" all fasteners, new "everything" that comes in a kit, and keeping things clean. Your knowledge of the tranny's function, diagnostic ability but most of all your verbal explanation as you R&R is among the best I've seen in ANY mechanic video. Hell, it's 2 hours after work so i'll watch part 3 at home! THANKS posting the video. TE AVENTASTE!

GReat set of videos. You really make it look easy. My 08 f350 6.4 is giving me trouble. It all started when I would out it in revers ad the car would buck a little. After putting it reverse, it would take like a second or two for the gear to engage then it would buck back once engaged. That had been going on for a while then the other day I felt and heard the gears slipping. I checked the fluid and it was low. I replaced the fluid and filter. The fluid was a little dark and the pan was clean. No metal fragments at all. The problem still persist. When I put in in reverse, it shutters. I put my SCT monitor on and noticed that is skips 4th gear. Also now, the truck stays in 5th all the time. I don't tow anything with truck. and don't drive it hard. It has never made any noise. What can it be.IF I change the pressure selinoid, would that fix it?

Two things I picked up from my own observations is one, always pull the seal on a sealed bearing and check for grease inside. Some only have a small shot of green oil in there - I assume the 55 gallon drum of assembly grease ran out 10 hours ago and all that is left is oil that has weeped out of the grease with nobody doing their job where they check the grease supply. Mystery solved as to why it's often the case that we would change out a sealed bearing on a combine crew and the next day we are doing the very same thing with the same bearing. Got a box of bearings for my own combine and decided to have a look - 30% with only oil inside. Hey, they are in the business of selling bearings aren't they? Should we look any further? Second same repeat story but with rubber lip seals, can't see a thing wrong anywhere and the first new one just didn't work. Pull the spring out of it, untwist it apart and cut 10% of the length off of it from the nontapered end. Twist it back together and enjoy new seals that actually seal first time every time and will also give a long life for the good money you spent on it. Same deal - they sell seals don't they and do we really need to look any further? Sometimes you don't get what you pay for, instead you just get fooked.

Why is ford transmissions junk? My 5R110W gave me a loud bang late one night in my E350,, No more power to the wheels, Clearly prone to failure and unreliable FORD tranny. Stuck solenoids, bad coast gear welds, defective pumps.. when does it end? Who is running FORD now, the moron brigade?
