5,000 Subscribers! Thank. You. everyone for clicking that subscribe button. A way to say thank you, is by doing a special giveaway. So here is the Traxxas Blast RC Boat. In this video I talk about what comes in the box and then take it out to test out the different functions and features of this RC.
Now to the giveaway info because that’s really why you’re here:
This giveaway will be running from the time this video posts, until I do my live drawing on November 1, 2021 to announce which subscriber wins this RC. To enter all you have to do is be a subscriber from the U.S. and comment below letting me know you want to be entered in the giveaway. Please read the rules and disclaimer below. Winners will be picked completely by random using a random wheel name picker and/or a random comment picker. Please read the rules and disclaimer below. Good luck to everyone who enters!

2. You must be from the United States of America. Due to high shipping costs and different customs regulations for each country, I do not ship internationally.

Again, congrats. Main other boats use magnets instead of a mechanical latch, certainly would be an improvement on the rubber band. I would have expected magnets out of Traxxas, but I guess if they are counting pennies, I'd rather skimp there than on the electronics

Thanks! That rubber band hatch has to be the cheapest they can go with that. Magnets or velcro would have been a great option. I have a lot of velcro tape laying around so I think I’ll be changing that soon.

Definately looks fun, and yes hop-ups always make it better I could just imagine that running a brushless motor with 4s or 6s LiPO that thing would rip! As for your filming location, wow that scenery is fantastic I need to go fly that drop me a message and let me know what lake that is. The colors and reflection, could get some great cinematic footage there!

It’s going to rip with that in. That place is just a local reservoir for a neighboring city to the town I live in. Christian E. Siegrist Dam is the name. There’s other videos of it on KZread. The rc boat is amazing
one upgrade that is ignored is that changing the gear ratio can make it go faster as well as changing the propellor size and type too also one other upgrade or two can be done is upgrading the motor to a titan 12 traxxas motor and putting a stronger battery in it but if it was me try messing with the gear ratio from motor to prop shaft mainly the motor one putting one with less teeth on the motor one will make more speed and if afther that not fast enough change the propeller next then motor after that.

I actually like that one the best out of all the boats on here. To me it the most realistic boat I’ve seen. It acts like a boat and not a toy boat if you know what I mean. But yea an upgrade would probably make it incredible.

@@donm1547 no I actually was controlling it with one hand when I was walking but as soon as I was out of the picture I put the boat down and controlled it up and over the dam. When it was going along the shoreline and I popped out of the woods and waved, I had it in waypoints mode.
Traxxas think they can release whatever they want and Traxxas fan buyers will buy it.

Agreed. This boat could’ve been so much more but I was not impressed by the performance of this for the price they are asking. It will be going brushless in the future. I can’t deal with how slow it is.

I’m looking at the hobby wing max 10 to replace it with. It’s only 3300kv but the can is nearly the exact same size as the stock 540.

@@fpvMazerolle2607 sounds like either a surpass or a goolrc then. Just saw a surpass 4300 with 45a esc for $33 on Banggood. Maybe I’ll go with a budget setup but I would like to run something a little more high end with this boat.
