What Rakuten loses in the basis of its focus is LIMITED to the HUMAN side of the internet, the limitations of just the capabilities of HUMANS. We dont need 16+ million colors because humans can't see more than 8million, but our displays are lucky to have only 10% of that capability (I say this only because the way we see the displays we cant take advantage of more). Rakuten loses the fact that 5G was being designed for the future of the tools we will use to make our lives better. We don't need to buy faster because we cant type faster to get to the accept button, we don't need to be shown things we can't see, we don't need to be given sounds we cant hear. We don't need to search faster because we can't read what is delivered now. 5G is designed to run the tools we will use now and in the future. Rakuten is a way to open the internet on a broader basis for the HUMAN SIDE but it cant handle the magnitude of the tools of humanity to come.
