    When xrp rises to 200 dollars, i'm buying this yacht alright, and then i can even affort to pay 10% of the purchase price, every year to maintain it, because nothing in the world is more expensive to maintain than a yacht. I would love to own one like this or even smaller and cheaper, but they are a money pit and you never get the money back that you put into it but that's why they are rich men's toys, because they earn more than they spend so what the heck is their motto and buy those expensive toys, use them, sell them and buy something newer.

    would one need training to navigate a boat like this or would you have to hire a 2 man crew?

  • @godspeedjourneys2661

    @godspeedjourneys2661

    5 жыл бұрын

    @@ldanzamariastile3536 I would start with chartering a small boat (20ft plus) for a season, with a competent instructor, and do it old school first. Meaning no thrusters, IPS engines etc. Just throttle and rudder. Take your time and enjoy the process of learning, don't rush it, that's how you will fall in love with being on the water in your own boat. In my commercial captain's course, there were also a lot of pleasure boaters who simply wanted to learn more and be competent on the water. So I would highly recommend taking the first level of a commercial license, which in Canada allows me to drive a 5 ton boat and take up to 12 passengers if I so desire. The knowledge you gain in a commercial captain's course puts you above 90% of all other pleasure boaters. The primary stress in handling a boat is docking and undocking, especially in a crowded marina. So work with a captain who is also a good teacher and do at least 100 dockings in various types of weather conditions over the course of the season. Once you are comfortable with that, stick with your small boat until you start to feel you've outgrown it, then move up to a bigger one by 10ft plus. If you keep chartering, then you would not loose much money as opposed to buying one and the hassle that comes with it. You can also get to try out a variety of boats before you decide what you actually like as opposed to what you thought you liked. For me personally, I would want to be able to single hand a boat because when I go out to quiet coves, I don't want anyone around me, so I don't want a crew. This will determine the size of the boat which you will get, which for me will be around 50ft. But if you want crew, then the sky is the limit. Hope this helps.

    i recently starting towing a van well it's been two years to be exact i know you can't compare the two but i did the same process as you explained here for example learning hot to hitch the caravan to the car and unhitching the caravan learning manoeuvring with the caravan on narrow roads turning corners etc now i'm very confident because of all the pratice, but with the boat i immagine you will need navigation skills seeing as there re no road signs at sea i can immagine docking to be the same as un hitching a caravan

    If you were to build a Ford Fiesta from scratch, from bits, it would cost you many times over what a new Fiesta costs Ford to make. It's about scale and production lines. Princess buy in bulk, manage in bulk, have production teams. As one crew moves onto one boat being build another crew moves over to do something else on a different boat in a different stage of production. But if you were to start a shipyard you'd find it impossible to get this finish at this price. But then back in the Princess were that bit less finished... they took time and experience and 'company culture' to get where they can do this for this price.

That being said out of all the tours I have seen this is the one I’d love to own if I won the lottery or somehow made it big. I tried watching another video tour from someone else’s KZread channel and found them unwatchable, the way you go about your tours it’s very apparent that you do this because you love yachts and it’s nice to see someone geek out about all the little details.

    Same here: I've replayed it multiple times, often at three-quarter speed (or even half-speed) so I don't miss any details on the visuals that might not be mentioned on the review audio (never many, though there are one or two things to discover for myself.) The problem with this is that I also have to do it with sound muted sometimes too, because once I've heard Nicks voiceover so that I know it almost off by heart, I can manage better than trying to get my head round hearing it slowed down: Since KZread slows down audio, but retains the original pitch, it has the effect of making Nick sound as though he's pissed

    What a beautiful boat and with two fridges and a washing machine very practical so might just get used. I remember sailing school and sailing down the trots the instructors would show us all the boats that never moved, millions and millions just sitting there. You Tube popped up a Sea Trial of this boat by Capt. Pat Kelly in America and he demonstrated all the capabilities, pushing the boat sideways and pivoting to manouvre out of a pretty tight berth, then using dynamic positioning so whereas Nick has to rush round pulling his fenders in the F45 just stays put while you stroll about and put them away. Sadly my inheritance won't quite stretch to this one, might have to bump my sister off too.

    Stumbled across your reviews a couple of days ago. Been on somewhat of a binge since. Enjoy your delivery and obvious enthusiasm for the boats and the work that goes into building them. I don’t own a boat myself. I go sailing on my Dad’s Jeannaeu sailing yacht a couple of times a year which is always fun. Off to Troon in September to have a sail around there. Maybe I should make my own video 😀 Looking forward to your next review.

    Wow they have packed alot of detail and features into 45 ft. There's nothing wrong with "geeking out" over the surprise and delight features as you called them in the F62 review. I am exactly the same. Good video. :-)

    I had a look on one of these in Southampton. It’s just as good as you made out. If I was in the fortunate position of being shopping for a new boat and if the boat was for a couple and occasional guests I would have this over the bigger Princesses. I thought it was elegant, comfortable and very practical.

    It initially appears from watching the film, that the rear couch sliding back over the transom only achieves more leg room for the table, rather than more deckspace in the cockpit; but examination of the foot of the cockpit table, and the fact that there appears to be more mounting sockets further back, would seem that you might be able to re-site the cockpit table further back too, giving the promised extra cockpit deck space, enough at least, to have room for a couple of rear facing directors chairs on the opposite side of the table. Also, looking at Princess's brochure for this boat, it would seem that there is also the option of a 'filler' seat, to join up the front/port end of the cockpit sofa with the little seat adjacent to the sliding doors. This would provide significantly more seating in the cockpit, though it's a mystery where this extra seat would be stored when not in use.

    I totally agree with your enthusiasm. Personally I would have carried the logo frenzy all the way to the Head. I would have Princess Crown logo's engraved in strategic spots of the toilet seat face in order to be certain of leaving a lasting impression. All kidding aside, your work is similarly bursting with attention to detail. Descending the ladder to the Engine room without a jumpcut, brilliant!

    I have always loved the Sunseeker 52 (which they have stopped making) would always be my first choice. But this Princess 45F has just trumped it. And it is basically half the price. These size yachts you could live on them but they never had a big enough freezer. But again Princess has done the business. What a great yacht.

    5 feet always makes a huge difference when it comes to boats under around 90 feet. You ask any boat designer about some boat they designed and how they would make it better, 99% of them would say "I'd add 5 feet"
