Great suggestions! I am a soft natural, dark autumn and I definitely got some inspiration for spring and summer! Merely as a comment to add, as a top heavy soft natural, I never wear t-shirts like the relaxed graphic tee as it is the least flattering shape on me, even when tucked in. I find a more open neck line (even the stretched-out look) when it comes to t-shirts is more flattering.

That makes a lot of sense! I agree that top may not be the best choice for a larger bust, especially with the placement and shape of the print. It could certainly be swapped for a different tee that would be more versatile for you!

As a soft natural, I appreciate your selections for this capsule. I especially love your choices for tops, there is a bit of romantic flair there. As a soft autumn, I gravitate towards muted colors, I can't do red or the yellow with my skin coloring. Thanks for the great inspo!

Love this capsule wardrobe. I especially like the red wrap shirt and the boat neck shirt and the crop jeans!!

This is such an amazing capsule wardrobe.... im a true summer, but red, black, white, work really well for me so i could wear everything but the orange ones. of course I would choose a cooler red :) I am absolutely in love with the crochet top!! Please keep making soft natural capsules!!

Great video 😍 Please make dark winter kibbe romantic for spring/summer. I struggle with this mix of dark colors and light fabrics and especialy in summer I prefer lighter colors so basicly I wear white and I don’t know what else I can do. I prefer simple but interesting cuts, wrap dresses and playfull details. I’m an architect so It’s ok for me to dress all black all day every day, but I prefer bold colors and black only for most worn practical items. I’m also mum so I like comfort and clothes that can be worn to playground too.

Alyssa, I came back to some of your videos today as I am starting a new job and trying to pull together a new wardrobe in a new body (a decade of not really shopping much) that is reflective of me, practical for my work, and gentle on both me and my budget. I just wanted to reflect back to you that your videos are of such high quality, so well-thought out, and so kind. I will add it to my list! I generally create the videos that are most highly requested, and it is true that many of my requests are for the winter and autumn color types. However I'll do my best to get a light spring capsule in the library 🥰

I like this capsule though it’s not my color season. The one issue I have is the skirt. Isn’t the material too stiff to flatter a soft natural?

Denim can be a bit stiff, yes, but I would encourage everyone not to be too limiting! Body type recommendations are so amazingly useful but I always advocate for breaking outside of that box a little bit here or there. The skirt is a great length and shape for the SN, and the slit provides movement in the fabric, so although it may not tick every single box, I think it’s still a good option if it suits your style! 🥰

According to the Kibbe test, I am a soft natural. However, I loathe v-necks as someone whose shoulders are wider than their hips. I thought wider shoulders were characteristic of a SN, so why is it that v-necks are so frequently recommended for this body type? Is it ok that I personally hate them?

It’s totally okay for you to have your own preferences! Open necklines (as opposed to crew necks or high necklines) break up the width of the shoulder and make the shoulders and hips appear more balanced. V-necks do this, but so do scoop necks, button-ups with a few buttons undone, and other types of open necklines. I have wide shoulders and I don’t particularly love v-necks either, so I understand where you’re coming from. Definitely pick and choose from the recommendations and add the things that you know you love to create your own personal style!
