The car in bare metal you say was completely scratch built hand formed is beyond belief. These guys are world class metalsmiths and fabricators ! I never thought I'd see " Bangkok" and "57 Chevy" in the same sentence ever.. Thanks for the mind-blowing video 👍

Thank you Chad for finding the lowriders in Thailand it's so amazing that they have that kind of culture over there also I've been around lowriders on my life so amazing to see that in a country like that can't wait to go back to Thailand I love Thailand

The Thais NEVER cease to amaze me at the things they can make. When they do something they give it 100%. I may be wrong but that looks like a '59 Impala. The fins disappeared after '60?. That '57 is the BOMB. Probably the best shaped full size sedan they made. The gold highlights are prefect. 64 years young.

If I was Chad I would drive that Bel Air around Bangkok asking everyone for directions to Las Vegas and asking to pet their dogs (chickens) and watch everyone's brain explode.

WOW, I could have watched this for another couple hours.

i went to japan and a friend pulled his 1970 datsun fairlady z432 out of a museum and we were cruising around osaka in it and i saw the opposite happen. It turned the heads of only tourists. You would have thought the older japanese would get a kick out of it but they didn't even notice it LOL

Nah bro it’s so easy in Bangkok Thailand we've gang on Facebook. American car club Thailand I had a Buick wildcat 1966 custom it’s a full-size car I like left wheel drive because when you want to overtake a vehicle ahead of you it can go EZ if you want to change lane on the highway

Wow. That was the peak of American ingenuity and solid construction. And this one looks so immaculate, maybe even nicer than when brand new! Thanks Chad!

Chad, it’s a 59 Impala, the curved tail fins are unique to that year. I rode in all these Chevys teenager. One of my friends inherited his brothers 57, who got drafted into the Army. He then “ borrowed“ a rare penny from his dad’s coin collection and traded it for a Borg Warner T 10 transmission and Hearst shifter. We then went to the Fontana raceway dragstrip, with me in the passenger seat, and competed. If I recall, we finished the quarter mile at about 120 miles/ hour. No helmets or any other safety equipment! Like Thailand today. See you in Khon Kaen soon, I hope, Alex

They just got done with the car about a month ago, after a month of driving the engine will come back out and the engine bay will be done super pretty, right now its kinda rough so sorry for not filming that.

Myself having been to a Honda factory smash repair shop in Thailand 🇹🇭 and seeing just how they repair cars, I know exactly what your saying and feeling. The work men ship they do is just in credible 👍 I've been to car & truck smash repair shops all over the world and Thailand is up there with the best 👍👍 I would love to see that custom panel (Body) shop your visiting myself. As I am a Panel better, Custom body builder myself I know just what your saying.

Those rims are so clean, the overall aesthetic is godlike. I'm not even a car guy but I can appreciate beauty when I see it.

My first girl friend's dad worked for GM and had a 57 green Chevy Bel Air. He let us drive it to Callaway Gardens for a Georgia "beach day". The commenter below is correct; it's a 59 Chevy. The Impala was introduced in 1958.

Man, I lived in Thailand and Vietnam, never expected anything like that Bel Air reveal. I expected it to be nice, but it's fucking sublime. Real clean style as well, super luxurious but more understated than most similar cars. That white with chrome/gold detail just looks bang on.
