I fished yesterday afternoon and caught 1 Herring. It was a small Herring and I put it out on ganged 4/0 hooks (3 of) and caught a 56cm School Mackerel. It was the only Herring I caught all arvo. The only other catch I had was a large Green Sea Toad on Salted Squid. No rain, overcast with light SE wind. I saw one other Mackerel catch and heard of a metre long Queenfish catch just prior to my arrival. For me the Mackerel I caught represents 2 meals for 2 people.
