I def. appreciate a bare-bones, simple hair regimen because I'm over this huge fear of shampoo that has somehow permeated the natural hair community. & Nobody needs a 13 oil mix to get their follicles "stimulated". It's getting too too too extra out here lmao like what's really going on? Who has time to pre-poo overnight, clay wash, co-wash, finger detangle, LOC method, twist, air dry for 48 hrs, and then twist out? Naw.

Thanks for the video. It confirmed a lot of my feelings concerning washing and conditioning ect ect ect... If you just take a step back and listen to your hair and scalp everything becomes clear as day. I was trying everything from standing on one foot while i prepoo on days with a full moon and rinsing with cold water but only while barking like a dog but i stopped all that. I just use any shampoo and conditioner and i wash when needed. Nothing more nothing less!

I always avoided the natrual hair community for years and stuck with relaxers, people in the natrual hair community made natrual hair seem confusing an extremely difficult to take care of, it feels like more of a burden than actually enjoying your natural hair. I just started going natural and I really do appreciate you taking it back to the basics, and showing people that you don't have to go through hell to take care of your hair.

I think you should continue the series simply because I think a lot of people HAVE gotten out of touch with natural hair. It's hair, it needs to be taken care of like the rest of your body. I have been natural for 10 years and I did lose touch by becoming a product junky and having to have the latest accessory to help with the growth of my hair. By doing that, I notice that my texture changed and my hair was drying than ever. I had to do a second mini chop and I'm so glad you made this video just in time for me to remember that less is more. My husband always say K.I.S.S. keep it simple stupid...Thank you for keeping it real.

This was very informative. It can be overwhelming trying to figure out what to do and how to best take care of natural hair. I've been natural since 2011 but only started learning how to take care of my hair 7 months ago. It's been trial and error ever since. I really appreciate when people say, "what's worked for my hair may not work for everyone". I tend to take those people, like yourself, more seriously because I feel like they genuinely want to help others and not just trying to get more subscribers. I truly appreciate the time and effort you put into your videos because it shows that you care and know what you're talking about. Please keep the series going! I will definitely be back to watch.

A lot of the natural hair videos on KZread are about the PRODUCTS! Many people think it is expensive to be natural. Why? Their favorite natural channels are doing a video a week with a different product every week. We never really see the results of the other products, i.e. the products that say the promote growth. Get back the basics!

I love ALL of your educational, informative videos, so of course, I want to see the series continue. We learn a lot from you! This might seem redundant to some people, but I wouldn't mind seeing you do the wash and condition video again, but on a natural head with more length. Seeing you wash longer hair while keeping it stretched would help a lot of us. Even though you are keeping it simple, there have to be some differences between taking care of shorter hair versus longer hair. Or maybe we'll find out it's just as simple. 🙂

Thank you for this video!!!I have only been natural for a few months and due to my previous processes and all these natural hair "experts", I literally had to do a mini-chop of about 5 inches because of severe breakage and damage just this morning. CG, MHM, and all these crazy thing got me so confused until i stumbled onto you channel a few weeks back. i now only listen to you and one other youtuber that i researched. Although i had to chop, i am so excited to feel my new growth coming in soft and healthy with the added benefit of feeling the real texture of my curls that i haven't felt since I was five ( I am forty). So again, thank you for doing what you do and please dont ever stop giving us the real straight truth on natural hair!!!

I always saw the second wash get foamy (never knew why), I remember always having "squeaky" hair. I did just a "cowash" last week and my hair didn't seem "right". I had very healthy hair as a child, now I know why.

I am super happy that I watched this video. You said what I am feeling. I feel like some people just do too much to get the same end result...and that is just clean hair. I do the same thing you do and I learned some new tips from you. I really enjoyed this video and hope that you continue to make the series. I am about to share this video with my coworker because she is like me when it comes to her natural hair. 😊

Thank you! This made so much since. You are right about it being overwhelming and extra out there! I appreciate you bringing it back to basics for those of us that need a common since plan of action.

Thank you! you made my day! After being natural for a year now, I gotten so frustrated with trying to take care of my hair try this method that method; this technique that technique; it became a chore and still my hair seems no different. I had to put brakes on and decided to go back to the drawing board, so it's back to basics with me. Again thanks. keep posting your vids on this series!

I so love your videos and very happy that I saw this one because I didn't know that my hair should be damp and not soaking wet when I apply my conditioner and that it would delute the product. Makes perfect sense to me, TFS🙌

I appreciate this video series because I have had stripping washes and then used only clarifying shampoo. Then no conditioning just depending on who I'm binge watching at the time. Your explanations make all the difference. Thanks so much!
