{559} How To Calculate Switching Frequency for UC3842 / 3843 /3844 /3845 Oscillator Frequency

Ғылым және технология

{559} How To Calculate Switching Frequency for UC3842 / 3843 /3844 /3845 Oscillator Frequency The UC3842 / 3843 / 3844 / 3845 oscillator can be programmed by selecting timing capacitor CT and timing resistor RT. CT is charged from VREF (5V) through the timing resistor RT, and discharged by an internal current source. The first step in selecting the oscillator components is to determine the required circuit dead-time. Then to pinpoint selection of the nearest standard value of CT for a given dead-time. Next, the appropriate RT value is interpolated using the parameters for CT and oscillator frequency. RT/CT combinations versus oscillator frequency can be adjusted by the selection chart provided in the datasheet. The timing resistor can be calculated from the following formula.
Fosc (kHz) = 1.72 / (RT (k) × CT (pf))
3842 & 3842 will provide the same switching frequency which is programmed at RT/CT pin (pin number 4) but The 3844 and 3845 have an internal divide-by-two flip-flop driven by the oscillator for a 50% maximum duty cycle. Therefore, the output switching frequency will half than the oscillator frequency at pin number 4 of the IC. The UC3842 and UC3843 oscillator runs AT the switching frequency. Each oscillator of the UC3842/3/4/5 family can be used to a maximum of 500 kHz.

hello sir I have some question it is about the GM 4pin Ignition Module my car also uses pick up coil snd E Core Ignition Coil the power source for my car is aperantly positive linear voltage regulator or relay. So that 4Pin GM Ignition Module uses the MC 3334 ic chip the exact lay out for that Ignition Module Chip can by found on Google. So can you please take a look a tell my what Im missing? I need some how to programe that thing or interupt the freqency rate some how because my car does not have retarding mechanism so its hard to start it in winter time so thats why I try to coppy this circuet or modifi it to do that task. So basicali its the question how are 555 timer ic chip frequency controled ? Or advancing or retarding frequency on demand is it posibel? If not culd the pick up by modified or ignition coil? Im not profesional electritian I surched long and culd not finde disruptive circuet or altering frequency device . So I hoppe some one has ideas how to force that thing to retard spark or pick up signal some how? Also I wuld like to know what ells culd by used to programe pick up coil signal to run 1 or more high power darlington transistors?
