    My thoughts are learn all you can from the best utube craps instructors. How to find them you say. Simple who are they always bringing up in conversations. Dont be afraid to bring a small bankroll. Slowly climatize yourself. You dont need big bucks starting out. Never understood that. If you have a decent knowledge of the game and play smart thats 3/4 of the battle. The rest is how the dice fall. NEVER ever be afraid to walk away. Great video by the way. Hey John, great video and great collaboration with you and Greg. Really ready to embrace the don't side of the game as I have not in the past. Study many strategies and been on a losing streak lately and have not been able to win on the light side. Hybrid, regression, etc., nothing has been working. My question is, how much of a bankroll do think you need to effectively play the strategies shown. With a little bad luck you could get down very quickly while waiting for the tide to turn.

  • @ProCraps

    The simple answer is on the 555 Don't, bring enough for 20 shooters. So at the $25 + $30 level, that'll be $1100. If you swing that down and go with $10 and $12 odds, you can do it for $500, just adjust your expectations. The other 2 strategies, you'd want to have in your pocket. I would bring another $200 to $400 and have that off to the side, so that if you decided to play one shooter using one of the Andre methods, you have that bullet, but it's not part of your grind.

  • @mcchacho1

    @@ProCraps Thanks John, 20 shooters, $55 per shooter, $1,100 bankroll. Just took an early lunch break and rolled it out this way which raised a couple of questions that may just be personal preference. When a shooter hits a point and you lose the $55, do you stop betting on that shooter as you lost the money earmarked for that shooter and let him come out and keep rolling until he passes the dice and start over on a new shooter? I guess you could view the comeout after a point made as a new shooter and start over if you wanted to. I found in this rollout that it made sense not to come back up on shooters that made a point as a few times they continued on and made multiple points. When a 7 rolled on the comeout, I continued with the $30 earmarked for the odds on the don't pass and played it out with no odds. Two comeout 7s in a row and just waited for the next shooter. After 20 shooters on this particular rollout, up $260.

    I used to define a light side cold table as -8 pts variation from the expected mean. I now define a light side hot table as two clusters of 4 or more consecutive points made within a session equals 150 resolved bets. Playing from the DONT, I will win 100% of the time unless there are 2 clusters of more than 4 consecutive points in a 150 roll session

    I have been to a seminar regarding dice control. The real players who practice it refer to it as influencing the dice, not actual control. These guys actually practice by throwing dice thousands of times to calculate their rolls vs. statistics. I have seen it for myself and practiced myself. You can shave off a percentage or two to shift the odds slightly in your favor. Like anything else you have good days and bad days. But there is actually something to it. I wouldn't just dismiss it out of hand. It will cost you if you are a "Don't Player" and come up against a skilled dice thrower.

    re: Dice control. If it really was "a thing" the Casino/House would stop you from doing it or change the throwing mechanism. Same as card counting (which is not the same but in the context has the same result), any way to elminate the house edge is frowned upon at best and you get tossed out at worst.

    The only way to beat the house going up against a negative statistical advantage game is to take advantage of a large disparity between table min and table max. We all know the best bets, we all have strategies, but I know with 100% certainty that the table min and max were put there to protect the house from large bankrolls skimming small sample size hits on a daily basis.

  • @ProCraps

    @ProCraps

    6 ай бұрын

    The biggest reason for max bets is to stop negative progressions. Period. They are the only guaranteed way to win 100% of the time. But the bet ceiling prevents you from ever locking it in. So those players rely on timing and a bit of luck to not get crushed. I’ve seen it happen live too many timeS

    Here's one where I go into it in pretty good detail -- kzread.info/dash/bejne/hK2EqcuDdpOrcaQ.html Basically, you always have to win table minimum, so at a $15 table, you need to lay enough to win $15 For the 4 and 10, that means laying $30 in odds, because the 4 and 10 pay you 1:2 For the 5 and 9, you need to lay $24 to win $16 because they pay you 2:3 For the 6 and 8 ... you can lay $18 to win $15 because the lay bet on those numbers pays 5:6 The easiest thing though, is to always lay in multiples of $30 which always works easy -- 4/10 pay $15, 5/9 pay $20 and 6/8 pay $25 for that $30 lay

  • @ProCraps

    The general rules are these: The lay odds must win table minimum. 4 and 10 need to be "even" dollar amounts (they pay 1:2) 5 and 9 need to be in amounts divisible by 3 (they pay 2:3) 6 and 8 need to be in amounts divisible by 6 (they pay 5:6) So, for a $10 table, here's your minimums: 4 and 10: $20 (to win $10) 5 and 9: $15 (to win $10) 6 and 8: $12 (to win $10) For a $15 table, here's your minimums: 4 and 10: $30 (to win $15) 5 and 9: $24 (to win $16) 6 and 8: $18 (to win $15) A good rule of thumb, if your bankroll allows it, is that increments of $30 always works for all of them: $30 lay 4/10 wins $15 $30 lay 5/9 wins $20 $30 lay 6/8 wins $25

  • @dontswin

    @dontswin

    7 ай бұрын

    Mathematically lay on the 5 or 9 is a far superior lay than the 4 or 10 because of the payoff. Lay of the 6 or 8 is really only slightly worse than the 5 or 9 because the pay off is so good. You should almost always lay odds with your flat bet on the 6 or 8 because the reward is always 83.3333% of your lay bet. The reward on the lay portion of the 5 or 9 is always 66.6666%, of everyone of those 5's or 9's you have a 64.2857% chance of winning it! Which is far better than a coin flip! You will win 58.0645% on every 6 or 8 don't pass or don't bets. on the 4 or 10, you should win 69.2307% 18 of every 28 times either one of those is the point.(NEARLY 7 OF EVERY 10 times it's a point!} ( in other words for every 26 times the 4 is the point, he will repeat it 50% or 8 times, miss it 50% or 8 times and miss it 100% 10 times, therefore he will miss it 18 times of 26 occurances) These calculations are based on the fact that you have ***2 dice with 3 axis EACH DIE*** and nothing more, forget about that bell shaped combination chart. There are only SIX sets dice can be together prior to the throw. There are 576 possible tops on anyone throw( in their entirety) the bell shaped combo charts mention nothing of the relation of one die to another die. Even more confusing than all of that is the fact that any number on top that shows can show: 16 DIFFERENT ways cause a cube has 4 sides therefore 4 TIMES 4 equals 16 !!!! Weirder than all that is that M.I.T. did major studies of dice and all the calculations on this. The key for wrong bettors is RISK -Vs- REWARD. Everyday or every night the dice can do amazing things, the other key is surviving bad streaks or the CHOP. The law of large numbers is extremely powerful in craps and things can change on a dime or not.@@ProCraps

Several 4s came up and it was a lay 4...he lost, but never took it down. Also he was giving the bank a $30 vig after the first roll. Most casinos i know want the vig up front and if you take the bet down, then they give it back. Confusing video to me.

    Why doesn't Greg remove a Don't Pass bet when the point is 6 or 8?

  • @ProCraps

    @ProCraps

    2 жыл бұрын

    There's no reason to. In fact, there are those that actually go in for max odds on the 6 and 8 and lesser odds on the 4/10. The 7 is still the biggest dog out there, no matter what the point is. If I gave you $25 and said you could make 1 bet on any number and it'll sit there until it wins or loses, what would you choose? Now, on a flat bet, the 7 vs the 6 or 8 isn't as great as a flat bet on the 7 vs a 4 or a 10. But when you bring odds into it, it's more advantageous to lay odds on the 6 and 8 than the 4 and 10.

    I normally do that (A LOT) in my strategy videos. This one was more of an interview that I did with Greg, in his style, and then re-uploaded it here in this format. I was planning to break these all down individually as separate strategy videos with a better explanation and demo ahead of the roll out.

    This was done about a year or more ago. Greg from 555 craps had a great channel and was retiring. He's a great friend of mine, so the point of this video was really his final interview and him saying goodbye before we did any strategy stuff. That's really what I wanted to focus on. But then we got into some strategies and I love picking his brain on them.

    How ironic. I like to write fictional stories as a hobby, and I'd recently written one about a guy who had a job in an investment firm, but lost his job because clients of the investment firm discovered that this guy was also a professional gambler.
