All those breakdowns didn't even phase Bailey! She knows you got this, Bro.
Dan, I appreciate the way you tend to always keep a positive attitude. You had a rough week for sure but continued to smile through the video. Thanks for all you do and stay safe out there!
Dan the Can-Am Man. You aint a quitter. I think I would rather get all my "Bugs" grouped up. Best of Journey's going forward !

It's amazing how all those little problems can pop up all at once. It's still a good truck and with a little TLC and work by you Dan it can be a great truck again. Stay safe

Dan, you have a great attitude about everything...it just goes with trucking as you know..love the positive content you share is simply awesome we all can learn from this....keep up the great work and be safe on the old highway....
Dan I have truck identical to yours. I ordered it new in October 1994. No matter how much u maintain it something will always go wrong unexpectedly. My company requires inspection every 90 days. My trucks going on26 years old and I would drive it anywhere. Hang in there and “Keep on Truck’in”. It’s all I know to do. Lol.
I think when you get an older vehicle that’s been sitting for a while you get a few boggles that appear when you ask it to earn a living. Hopefully once you get them sorted it’ll settle down and serve you well 👍

Just a suggestion instead of that weatherstripping you might want to try a bead of clear silicone around the edges of the generator door. Let it Harden before you close it. I never had any luck with that weather stripping it always fell off no time. Or you might want to try putting a thin layer of the silicone around the edge and then put the weather stripping on top of it that way you know it's going to stay on their. Anyway thanks for the videos.
Good luck with the shop and the rest of the week.
Thanks, great insight
Hi Dan & Bailey, Thanks for the videos I enjoy them. Your tweaking all the small things and it will come together and now you have your bulkhead in order you will feel better. Good luck on on things going a little smoother and they will. you do a great job of looking after the vette!! Take car, stay safe and lots of luck to you!
Things will get better , just go day by day. Thanks Stay Safe
Don’t 2nd guess yourself Dan. You’ll be ok soon. Your driving your dream truck and have a great back up. Hang in there.
Glad it’s coming together. You catch up, hopefully you’ll get a good run for a while. Stay safe
It’s pronounced like toe ma. I lived there all my life, and trucked out of there for 45 years. Sold the house 3 years ago and we now are fulltime RV’’ers. Are you getting the truck fixed at Kimpton’s? We are now in Tucumcari on our way to White Tank Mountain Regional Park in Waddell, AZ for the winter.
Stay positive Dan. You can’t let things take you over. Love that you have your dog with you all the time. They are great company when you are out on the road. Hope you are up and going. Stay safe!
Safe travels Dan
Thanks for taking us with you even on the bad days! Keep on keeping on Dan
Good luck Dan. Hopefully you are back on the road today. Good to get these problems out of the way before winter.
A real, unfiltered video Dan. Thank you for sharing the struggles and keeping it real.
A great point about "fixing to your standards" and that is really important. You show great care and attention to the equipment that you earn your living with!
I live near sikeston and I’m pretty sure that truck sat on his lot for quite a while. Sitting is really hard on equipment. Keep after it and you will eventually get the bugs worked out.
I know we all have weeks like that and I feel for you. Being able to chuckle about the dryer instead of raising the blood pressure definitely comes with age. In my younger days that would have sent me over the top, but like you, I'd have probably laughed out loud. Hoping smooth roads lay ahead for you Dan.
Youre going to be fine. I always marvel at how busy you are and how able you are to fix so many different things. Youre running older equipment so theres always going to be something. Bless you man, you’re in my Prayers, you’re doin good
Good luck tomorrow i hope you get back on the road dont stop driving That beautiful truck i know you was certainly comfortable be safe out there
Thank GOD you’re just as Great as a Mechanic as you are a Professional Truck Driver. Thanks! 👍
Keep Smiling! I look for Big Orange whenever I am on the rode.
Good attitude Dan!

As they say Dan, stuff happens! But you do a great job of keeping it under control and be cool while doing it. Safe travels to you and Bailey.
Well I'm glad you got the big hotel to travel the countryside in. All those fix-its make for a great story to tell and it's even better because you can do a lot of the work. Hopefully this week is better. Best wishes and safe travels!
Keeping your cool is what it's about Dan. I liked your explanation about many little repairs you had to do on the other truck, just not all at once. You will ahead of the curve because you don't let things lag. Great job Dan !
It will get better I felt the same way when I was having a hard time with my peterbilt but I just hung in there and it all worked out you got a awesome support system out here and at home so keep your head up and keep moving forward you be safe buddy I'm on my way to San Leaundro CA to drop off this oversize loader

Hang in there Dan it will all fall into place shortly, thanks for the video's, love them and that Peterbilt, especially that massive cave you have on the back of it. I'm retired now but i would have given a arm and a leg to have driven something like that during my time on the road. Take care mate all the best from Australia.

Great channel Dan. Trucks break down and you just got the truck. You're actually breaking in the orange truck. As far I can remember, you were always fixing something on the other 2 Trucks. You are mechanically inclined and that saves you a ton of money and time from the repair shops. Keep on trucking

I'm impressed at your attitude, but also certain there were some swear words uttered this week. After all you have been through though, it gives me great comfort to know you have more room to stretch out, grab a shower and wind down a bit. Thanks for sharing and stay safe.
To the naysayers, the negative people. Trucks require repairs, maintenance. Sometimes the mechanical failures come at inconvenient times, we get through it. Dan is pickier than some others in the level of quality he puts into repairs, so over time he'll be making the truck reliable as he has done with his other trucks in the past.
Shake down cruise in October beats the hell out of mid January or near dead February. Be glad that it's all small stuff and the weather is pretty decent.
If you own a truck new or old, there is always something to work on, not a bad thing just reality!

Hi Dan, don't worry about the people that give you grief about not continuing to run the white truck, they don't know what the future will bring either. We all have to make the best decisions that we can with the information that we have available at the time. Fate has a way of biting us in the butt from time to time no matter what we decide. Another thing that I thought of was having the parts fail on the generator on a weekend when you were basically sitting and waiting to go to the shop on Monday is not all bad, you certainly had time to work on those small issues and better there than when they could have left you stranded.
The trash bag (walmart bag) for the king pin lock works great, I use to just leave the bag stuck on the grease... never wanted to touch it to dam greasy... don't know where they went but they will disappear... and, must be a cat reman water pump, they never last, total BS..... for ten years I hauled cat reman parts out of Corinth Ms... spent a lot of time around the shops, cat buys really cheap bearing and seals when they reman there parts... rebuild it your self with good bearings and seal....
Hey Dan don’t let it get you down things will work out
