My first attempt at making a bowl was a huge fail. I did not want to waste the resin though, so I drilled a hole in the middle and turned it over my bird feeder as a squirrel baffle. Oh, and I won't use cling wrap either.Love your work!

I love Art Resin. I used it solely for a couple of years and was approached by a few companies to try out theirs. I still use Art Resin and as of right now am not biased to one particular brand. But I definitely love their whole crew and underlining premise of the company.

That cling film or saran wrap is difficult but if you grease your dish or pan with something like hand lotion or vaseline first, then add the wrap, you can make it stay put where you want it...that is if you should even want to try it again. lol The final dishes are very pretty!

Your bowls are gorgeous, I cannot decide which I like best. I haven't seen any of your newer videos, but may I make a suggestion? I too was having a horrible time with cling wrap, and a friend suggested ibuse something thicker, so I did the Ziploc bag like you and I still didn't like it. I went to the hardware store and talked to the guy in the paint department and eureka!!! I found a product I could live with...it is clear painters drip shield. It is thicker than cling wrap, but thinner than zip bags. I hope this helps. You've done a wonderful job with you bowls. 💜

Loved watching you make these bowls. The bowls are gorgeous. I'm in love with making these fascinating bowls. Everyone is unique. I've never tried using a zip-lock bag as a liner, I did try a garbage though and didn't like results. I use non shrinking cellophane wrap mostly. My timing varies depending on room temp, resin brand used and whether or not I warm my resin prior to use. I use ClearCast 7050 mostly.

Elizabeth Alvarado Tricky one! I think your resin was too cured and you perhaps forced it over the shape that you wanted to mold it over. It has happened to me before and is infuriating 😡. You can fix it if you are very advanced in resin art by painting the crack until it meets then sanding and rest the whole thing again. Or throw it away and learn from your mistakes. Tara Lynn it’s really trial and error getting to know your resin regarding the time you leave it before you mold it. Each resin is different and now I have settled on one I’m going to get to know well. Temperature and humidity plays a large part too. I hate plastic wrap.
