I have just returned to Tai Chi and the class does Fan forms. I love these forms. I was looking to see how the fan is held and flicked open. This s a very clear (and impressive) demonstration to watch. I can like knowing the names of the moves. Thank you as I now want to learn this.

Are there any classes near you that teach any kind of whole body movement work? If you like the way the teacher moves, and you like the way he or she teaches, then that is the place to start. Once you are more confident about your body -- that it and your mind are cooperating well -- then you can probably find you can learn off videos. I can't emphasize enough that you do need a teacher or coach to watch you move and help you learn how to communicate with your body.

According to a copyright claim by Audiam (Label), the song is Kung Fu by John William. But I've heard it in other contexts, so I don't know for sure.
