Hi Todd That machine is for taking car and truck tires of their rims, The drill press is a knock off of a Bridgeport milling machine made in the US. most likely from the ex army base workshop.

Hi Todd,,loved hearing a different version of Layla! One of 3 hit songs written about the late Patty Boyd Harrison Clapton. Something,,,Layla and Wonderful Tonight. She musta been special. What I'm wonder,, is there 516 beautiful women in the area. From the few you showed,,I'd bet yes. 2 of my 3 coworkers caught covid,,between the 2 of them they passed it on to 12 or 14,,including 6 that had been vaccinated. Several in hospital on ventilators. I wasn't around either one in the last 2 weeks,,so I think we are safe for now. Looked like a great day,,the picnic,,that shop,,the food looked superb, and the women lol take care of yourselves,,Ttyl,,,Marlon

I’m from Sydney and that paved road looked better than some of ours. Car sick in Laos brings back memories. We drive from Luang Prabang to Vientiane and my wife became very car sick. We then started looking to buy sour Nandi as she felt it would be the only thing to make her feel better. It didn’t. It just just changed the colour of her output haha Those guys you were eating with seemed like a really nice group of genuine people :-) “Black chickens”… the “ woke “ will get you, they are now to be called “ chickens of colour “ haha You can’t go wrong with Pad Gra Pao ( but where was your fried egg, Todd?) Sorry if I was late getting to you. I drove through 4 states Tuesday, look at some land. Then drove back the next day, that was14 hour at 85 miles an hour. Magnificent video work!!! First thought? The entrance scene. In the boat. Reminded me of my trip down the MaeKong, from Hoi Xsi? to Luang Prabang. We'd stopped off to get some fuel. And a bad smell had come. The lao man sitting next to me, brushed the smell off with the comment. "A headless body, floating down the river. Probably a drug runner." I thought? "Hum...that'll teach ya to mind your manners around here.. ." Second thought? 22 minutes into the video? You asked your wife a question. And she just kept on talking to someone else, like you weren't there!!! I rolled over laughing!!! Is that a lao custom!!! My wife does it too. But then? I remember my mom doing it to my dad!!!! Love it!!! Women!!

Hi Todd, thank you so much for posting all these wonderful videos. I had just recently discovered your channel. I’m fascinated with all the places you’ve gone to visit. I’m planning on going there in April of 2022 if some of the restrictions are relaxed in terms of Covid. Your house is not far from my hometown. If I mention the name of the village I grew up on, I’m certain you’d know exactly where it’s at. I was born and raised there up until I was 15. Went back few times. Last time I was there was in 2011. It’s been a while and so many things have changed. I hardly recognized. One thing for sure I’ll come visit NeeNee and your restaurant. Again, thank you and continue living a blessed life.

Since I’ve discovered yours and NeeNee’s channel, I have been watching them videos one after another trying to get some ideas of what to do and where to go when the time comes. I’m also been thinking about coming back home and settle down somewhere in Laos. I need to get hold of your mate Charle I think is his name? The fellow that you sat down and had conversation with. I did the same thing that you and NeeNee did last time I went back home. I went from VTE all the way north and all the way to champasak. I need to go and do that zip line like you did. I most definitely will seek you out when I’m there. Take care and thanks for sharing.

Drinking cold beer, singing songs and boating on the river. Good times! "I'm not half-gone on my battery, but, I was gonna say something, but it's left my mind". I think the beer's got you half-gone on your battery, mate.

All fun watching your videos. Yes,I'll be very happy when I can once again ride my motorcycle from Thailand and into Laos. Any idea when the Thai Lao borders will open? I'm hopping by spring of 2022. Be safe mate. Maybe catch up and have a beer one day.

Even though we've just last night gone into our harshest lockdown yet, (re-evaluated on the 30th) I wouldn't be surprised if they try to open earlier to coincide with the new high speed rail opening in December... Just some thoughts I've heard flying around. Yeah, but spring next year could be a real possibility as they are tearing through the vaccinations here. A beer sounds good. I'll be here 👍

Went to Thailand twice and we loved it except for the heat n humidity. Next time we hope to check out a few cooler places like Chiang Mai and Pai….Dalat, Vietnam…..Cameron Highlands, malaysia. Are the any places in Laos that are cooler ? We are searching for a retirement spot. Thx !

There's actually 2 mountains there... didn't know that. The close one is Phu Pha Dang, pronounce "Poo Pa Dung" and the one in the back is Phu Khao Khouay, pronounced "Poo Cow Kwai" which means Buffalo horn mountain. None of that I knew, you can thank Neenee 😁👍

"Put Guh Pao" is stir fried chicken or pork or beef with basil to give it good flavor, it's put on top of white rice and they put a fried egg on top, you can get it with chicken or pork, usually. It is Thai too. Gra-pao is Thai basil. "put" just means stir fry.
