Fair point lol but i think this is cool for when you wanna practice through plugins without having to worry too much about dialing but i agree using it on a serious recording would be kinda lame. Doing it with 5150 style amps does seem a bit weird too afaik theyre not exactly known for being hard to dial as opposed to the mesa one they did which makes a bit more sense

@@spiritofthetallhills2037 I mean I agree on principle but these are plugins not analog gear, they can be complex as hell but still come with presets dialed in for ease of use. They sound fine, don't get me wrong, it just seems like a really reductive, cynical product to put on the market. Like I thought the first one was some kind of meme or gag but they were 100% legit with it. 😂

@@DeadlyFredXXX from what i understand the intent behind the original was to combat "option paralysis" or somethint and just get you back to focus on whats important which is actually playing. Its cool how it was based on a really early rev c tho feel like most recto plugins are based on all the later revs

They won’t. Different players with different guitars, pickups, hands, fitting different styles of playing into different mixes/context, processing it all differently afterwards, through different monitors in different rooms. Not to mention a lot of people will swap cabs for a wide variety of IR’s(which will sound different according to their ears individually), which will change the sound quite a bit. This sameness thing is bulls**t. Similar is not the same. And it’s not a valid argument against products. All of those things I mentioned would have to be the same for that claim to be true. People are free to run with this starting point and do whatever they want with it. No one is forced to stay in the box that is the stock plug-in.

that's not so much an artefact of gear, so much as the desire to fall in with what's already popular/successful. You can use the same sounds, but write vastly different material, for example. Just my .02

I love these, I think the coolest little feature is the recorder, you can just pull it up and record a riff in the standalone, I can't tell you how many times I've lost an idea cuz I had to get reaper open to record it

not just an idiot, a fool and milemium sucker , but nice try homie, this is the Kazrog Ampcraft sim decked out as a one knob, the whole technology has been out for almost a decade yet these punks got together cause the market for plugins is so saturated, especially sims, they cant sell plugins any more so the lying is now a norm

Man I was checking out the Bogren site for the first time a few hours and ago saw this pack and wondered how it sounds. Also, I just got a Black Winter installed in one of my guitars the other day and HOLY SHIT that thing is awesome.

I just finish trying the demo of this amp sim before watching this video. Right out of the box, I find ALL OF THEM to be good. Next I try it with my favorite IR and they become awesome. In the end I find my favorite are EVH and 5150. One additional point for EVH is the sponginess. That particular amp has nicer sponginess compared to other EVH amp sim out there. I may say it is on par with third amp of NDSP Gojira. While I like to tweak amp sim to get my favorite tone, I'm blown away with this amp sim. I get my favorite tone out of the box. Maybe adding/reducing the gain as I needed. Can't wait for next Bogren amp sim.

The 3 really works well for VH sounds with the gain turned low-ish, honestly I don't need tone controls in a DAW when I can just pull up an EQ. Great plugin.

They sound really nice today I went out and got a good deal I think so I picked up a peavey 6506+ with matching 4x12 for 1500$ Canadian . Thanks to your videos I got into peavey keep ‘‘em coming Kyle 🤘

The 5169 is my favourite, at least as a standalone plugin to just noodle around on. It has a low end resonance that really thumps without being muddy at all

For the money and the intended use this is great. Also their IR packs are the best!

Just bought the 6505 one as I found that the tightest, least fizzy one personally. For someone like me, it's perfect. I don't really have any interest in recording or using a DAW. I just want a sick metal tone for silent practice. Headphone amps generally suck, the 6505 one knob absolutely blows anything like that away.

Kyle you should add up the weight of all the cabs you have brought into your house/basement. Would be interesting to know how much weight you have moved in total lol

I think you forgot to go into the settings in the bottom Right and switch it from Mono to Stereo when you were testing out your mix.

I lend my EVH to Jens when re amping Kreator. There was anorher one in the studio. I dont really know why but I guess they can sound a little different to each other. I love mine but will get it modded. Its a little to cold for me now but it always works. Takes 5 min to dial in. My Mesas I can spend days to dial in. 😂

Why is metal so un-musical?

For playing at home, only Neural DSP Gojira. All these Bogrens sound only complete with bass, second guitar and drums. And Gojira sounds alone. As a guitarist, I love a fat sound and there is none here.

Kyle’s so self effacing & a really nice guy. Can’t wait to see WTF happens when something REALLY PO’s him. Bogren’s awesomeness. 🫠👍🦡🥃
