The controller board connects to the laser driver board which in turn controls the laser. The controller tells the driver what power to turn the laser on to and the driver does the work. This is because co2 lasers run on tens of thousands of volts at an extremely low amperage. Not something you want to run near a control board.

Water is probably normal water. It’s probably filtered as well but since it’s not sensitive electronics it’s going through and it’s not a closed loop its just cooling a glass tube normal water is probably fine.

@@davedavidson4215 For this big size you need to build a moving laser tube solution, becaouse of the laser beam divergence. So the tube moves with one axis.

@@Kalala0925 I don't see why you couldn't mount a laser tube to the gantry. It should completely remove any divergence from end to end of the table.

@@jowens1126 Yeah i know. If i build another, bigger one in the future i will mount the tube to the gantry. But there is som problems with that solution. Slower movemnt, cause the heavy axis, bigger steppers, stronger and priceier frame, need to mount in the cable drag chain some new things, like water in and out tube, and high voltage cables.... So maybe in the future, but now this is enough for me.

Do you know if the aluminum is vsot or tslot? Also, does it warp on the long unsupported section's?

It is 2040 v-slot. The unsupported section is 1 meter long, and it is 40mm height, and pretty solid. It needs a lot force to warp, but the moving head and mirror assembly is light.

@@Kalala0925 I am planning on making a 4-ft by 8 ft. Machine and the gantry portion that supports the laser will be around 1.5 m long. Wasn't sure if it would start to bow or warp? I think it's quite solid. Also. I was thinking I might end up doing 20x 60 which would be much stronger.

Can I use peg board for co2 laser bed? But the issue it has more area and less holes! So laser will touch the bed more often! Will that be an issue?

When the laser cut through the wood, and the air blows the smoke, it burns to the other side of cutted materials surface where it has contact with the bed. So often touch equals often burning marks.

@@Kalala0925 Yes that's why I want to know whether we could use peg board made out of steel! I know there will be a lot of burn marks will that be an issue? Because I am going to cut fabric so if I use peg board the fabric will remain flat and crisp!

You are awfully close to sticking your hand or camera in the path of the laser. Cool puzzle though and it looks like you built a nice machine.

Sorry but different psu needs different wiring. I connect it between +12v and motor negative.

Only the red stuffs are made with 3d printing. All other parts came with the head and mirror holder. i only draw the 3d printed parts, print it and close the software without saving. So i don't have them. Sorry.

The head can move 1X1 meter, so the frame where the head moves is a little bigger.

Plan for what? For the laser cutter, no, i don't have any plan. But for the puzzle you can download plans. This is from Etsy. You can buy a lot of laser cut files from there.

Nice machine and work. But, You are double cutting and with a 50 watt laser you should not have to double cut!

i planned to motorize the head, to move it in z, but i don't need it. I can move the end of the head (nozzle) up and down with hand. I only adjust it before cut.

@@Kalala0925 I was worried about the z axis because I am building my machine to cut from 3mm to 10mm of mdf. So I don't need the table to have the z axis because I can move the nozzel to adjust the focus right?

@@gustavotavares5233 Yes, thats right. If you google the CO2 laser head, you will see tha same as mine. It has the nozzle on the tube, wich slide in to another tube. you can slide in and out, and lock it with a threaded screw.

@@gustavotavares5233 Some cheaper machines have really cheap and small head without nozzle adjustment. So they use the bed z adjustment method. the industrial laser cutters ude the nozzle adjustment, but motorised.

I use 50mm/s for engraving and 8-15mm/s for cutting 8-3mm plywood.

Még egy doboz és füstelszívás kellene hozzá meg egy RUIDA controller talán :-)

a RUIDa nem kell mert mindent offline vágok SD kártyáról, arra meg ez tökéletesen elég. Az elszívás: na az eléggé kell. Általában egy nagy padlóventit rakok a nyitott ablakba és kiviszi, de nem ártana egy szerevezettebb dolog, mert nem túl egészséges a füstje. Dobozolás meg úgy volt hogy meg lesz, de mivel így működik, ezért már lusta vagyok nekiállni.

Én egy Atomstack diódás lézerrel kezdtem tavasszal és csináltam hozzá dobozt elszívást meg airassistet meg szöges ágyat és ahogy kész lett rájöttem :-) hogy az 5,5W nagyon kevés és vettem egy kínai CO2 lézert (Stark600S) múlt héten jött meg ez 50W-os emelhető tálca és minden de csak 60x40cm (ami igazából elég most nekem) de tervezem hogy hosszabb távon jó lenne építeni egy nagyobbat. Ez a szokásos legnagyobb E-Bay frame 100x100cm amit alapvetően diódás lézerekhez árulnak ugye???

@@bacsijancsi Igen ez diódáshoz való 100X100-as frame aliexpressről, az alja pedig expandált lemez. Én elmentem egy perforált és expandált lemezeket forgamazó céghez ( metmark.hu/elerhetosegink/ ) és körülnéztünk a raktárban mi lenne jó nekem. Azért ez sem a legjobb mert a kis dolgok átesnek rajta, illetve a levegő befújás megbillenti a kivágott dolgokat és akkor ferdén vágja le a széleket. Erre megoldásként fém szúnyoghálót raktam az expandált lemezre. Azt viszont néha cserélni kell mert idővel szétvagdossa.

@@Kalala0925 Aha köszi. Teljesen igaz minden a megbillenéssel én is kínlódtam. Én 6mm-es rétegelt lemezre ragasztottam egy 0,25-ös alu lemezt hogy a lezer ne bántsa és 2,5mm-es csavarokat csavargattam bele de vagy 1500db-ot (eldolgoztam vele :-) de még így sem nagyon sűrű kb 1x1cm-es közökkel van így is gond a billenés. Lightburnben lehet tabokat használni az néha segít néha meg nem. A CO2 laseremen acél méhsejtrács van az talán a legjobb de azért egy picit az is képes visszaégetni a dolgot. Azokat lehet amúgy kapni csak nem ekkora méretben és rohadt drágák is. Ha valahogy lehetne venni méhsejtrácsos acél lemezt az lenne az igazi. És erős mágnesekkel lehet rögzíteni a kissé megvetemedett anyyagokat ami szuper megoldás (bár még rednelés alatt van de sokan használják) jah meg 0,5cm-es lapos vasakkal is szoktam nehezékként lesúlyoni az anyagot hogy ne mozogjon el ha a fej nekimegy a kissé megdőlt anyagnak.. A 28C fokos hűtővíz nem sok egy kicsit??? Úgy tudom olyan 18-23 közt kéne lennie... ez ha jól látom júliusban volt melegben lehet hogy fagyasztott vizespalackot lehetne tenni a vízbe... csak hogy a cső tovább tartson.... és látom a szokásos kis levegőpumpa folyamatosan megy az enyémhez is pont ilyen jött...és gondolom a vízpumpa is hasonló lehet... nagyon ügyes munka. A hegesztett keret is nagyon jó de láttam már ilyet rétegelt lemezből is megépítve :-). ... nagyon izgalmas dolog ez...

Mindenhol más hőfokot írnak. Én azt találtam hogy 35 fokig nincs nagy mértékű élethossz rövidülés. Szűkebb tartományt a lazer hűtő gyártók írnak érthető okokból...

@@Kalala0925 Aha érthető, igen tényleg mindenhol mást írnak. Aztán meg a fene tudja ha hamarabb kell cserélni csövet az pontosan miért is volt. Az én gépem 50%-nál már leadta a 20mAh-t amit nm nagyon szabad átlépni ...aztán megtaláltuk a kis csavargatós lukat a táp oldalán és beállítottuk hogy ne is tudjon 18mAh fölé menni mert állítólag azzal nagyon gyorsan ki lehet nyírni a csövet. Ja és persze gyárilag nem volt benne manuális mAh mérő azt is úgy kellett bele barkácsolnunk :-) és még kicsit kínlódunk a méhsejtrács vízszintességével is (azt is lehet állítnai de semmi leírás persze) ja és a lazertől a legtávolabbi ponton egy kicsit gyengébbven vág...ezt is el kell fogadni... Nagyon érdekel az egész amúgy lehet nyáron én is építek valami hasonlót...:-) Köszi jano
