50on50: Phoebe Bridgers "ICU" Live at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum
Phoebe Bridgers, performing her song “ICU” in the stands of the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum as a part of the new series 50on50.
In March 2020, fifty lucky fans came to witness Phoebe perform songs from her new album, Punisher for the first time live. Recorded before the height of the pandemic, it also unknowingly was the last time they’d see a live show for a long time.

Odessa Jorgensen - Violin
Charlie Hickey - Vocals on “Halloween”
Live Audio - Morgan Travis
Live Lighting - Nick “Spike” Inglis

Drone Footage: White Owl Aerial
Directed by Tony Corella
Produced by Versus Creative
ABOUT 50on50:

"It hate it when she opens her mouth, it's amazing to me how much you can say when you don't know what you're talking about." This is my 2020 in a nutshell fam.

Her lyrics remind me of old modest mouse, because she does an amazing job at writing lyrics that really make you connect with the experience the song is about, or a location, or time in your life even though they're mostly pretty abstract.

You're wrong, it was pretty awkward when she was lambasting the boyfriends mother, even the violinist looked awkward, good song, bad lyrics

I don't get how they're just so calm, I'm more animated listening to Phoebe after a 9 hour shift.
This gave me absolute goosebumps! Incredible performance, insane audio fidelity and A+ camera work.
2nd best song on the album behind Moon Song. Phoebe is an absolute gem.
there's something quite incredible about her playing in a virtually empty stadium
what a unique live vid, love that phoebe was able to do this!
the way "i don't know what i want until i fuck it up" is the only lyric EVER.
i would die if this was on spotify.
This is how a concert should be
is there more footage from this show? it's so goddamn precious I NEED IT ALL. thank u and i love u.

she did the Halloween song too, but in a different part of the stadium.
I feel something. Watching this. Thank you, Phoebe.
Legend version Phoebe Icon💙
I thought "ICU" stood for "Intensive Care Unit" for a hospital and only realize AFTER watching the vid how *wrong I was*

Either way, you're not wrong. I think she chose to name the song _ICU_ instead of _I See You_ because it's about times when you're barely holding on to the little mental health you have left. Dissociation can make you feel like you're not alive, and love was like life support for her, helping her to feel something again.

It's an obvious play on words, you weren't wrong at all.
I keep coming back to this
Laying down on the lawn I'm tired of trying to get in the house I'm thinking out loud I've been playing dead My whole life And I get this feeling Whenever I feel good It'll be the last time But I feel something When I see you now I feel something When I see you If you're a work of art I'm standing too close I can see the brush strokes I hate your mom I hate it when she opens her mouth It's amazing to me How much you can say When you don't know what you're talking about But I feel something When I see you now I feel something When I see you I used to light you up Now I can even get you To play the drums 'Cause I don't know what I want Until I fuck it up But I feel something When I see you now I feel something I'll climb through the window again But right now it feels good not to stand Then I'll leave it wide open Let the dystopian morning light pour in
every live performance of her is immaculate. I just enjoy them all so much :)
Glad they left the F in.
Walks on water....drags my heart behind 🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤
Post holidays, im listening to this while stargazing. Ugh the calm. Im glad my crush introduced her to me :>

hell yeah
💛
Thanks God for your beautiful talent!
help me im in love with her
"Fun. Ayyye"
insane
This is so fucking beautiful!!!!!!
getting joni mitchell big yellow taxi vibes from the guitar sound......... absolutely love it
HOLE. E. FUCK. Just started this and had to pause at that totally fucking awesome spot to perform. And I thought old cathedral churches were the coolest place for punk rock bands to play. Nope, in the seats of a giant stadium for trancy indie-folk bands to play is now the coolest.
te amo tanto meu deus
rad
Violin was absent/buried in the mix. Great performance and good concept marred by that poor mix.

Sweet fucking love..... ♥️🖤♥️
I don't know how important this performance was but(It was another breathtaking[I'm running out of words to describe the live ones on Yt] one)...I heard Madison on Alt Nation announce "Kyoto" and PB today like they were regular bands{common voices/singers/performers} on satellite radios Alt Nation. It blew my mind because I know PB hasn't been a regular on their stations ever. If she's the wunderkind we all know her to be, blow her up DJ's and producers. Could this BE anymore convoluted.
No pajamas?lol I’m really scared that one day I’ll bump into her and she’ll look like a normal lady and I won’t recognize her 😭

she is one song away from big time
the note change.
did they turn off the violin mic?
What are these guitar fingerings?
I loved this so much that I cried a little. But the lack of mask wearing in the audience is upsetting.

Appreciating the feel of the song, getting absorbed in the music
honestly i dont really like the mixing of this, you can't even hear the violin and can barely hear the drums
Seen her in an interview talk about people not caring about others lives during these times of covid. Those people in the stands didn’t look as if they were distancing at all, or wearing mask. Just saying. Great performance though. Just wish she’d practice what she preaches.
