Nice strong lifts. Remember to go slow on the way down and watch those knees on the way up, that buckling could lead to some problems down the line. 6:27

Thanks, I try to keep my knees out, it’s just not used to 50lb jumps

make sure to watch out with your knees on the way up, that is very dangerous. If you can not do the lift without good form then you need to wait. Ego lifting is very dangerous

It’s not ego lifting when a person try’s to hit a pr. His back stays perfectly stacked. Yes he has knee caving but it’s not always bad, it’s just that it’s a heavy lift and his hip adductors are kicking in trying to push the weight up. For some people it’s just instinct

@@BillyJ1992 what?? Lmao ego lifting is the most common when going for PRs. If you have to use bad form for a lift it’s ego lifting. And yes, it is instinct which is why you need to break that instinct because it’s dangerous and bad form. It’s instinct for a lot of people to bounce on bench, but it’s still dangerous.

@@clowny1625it’s an instinct as in you can’t train out of it in some cases. It’s just the hip adductors trying to power up. If you have ever watched clips of Lu Xiaojun he also caves his knees in on squats and he’s surrounded by some of the best coaches in the world and is pound for pound one of the strongest ppl on earth. I mean this kid and Xiaojun aren’t even on the same playing field but still

It probably doesn’t help tho he could probably squat more by keeping those knees in and holding them upright because all he’s doing is leaking energy. But you have to expect that on a max rep. It’s going to be a grind and no one in their right mind will stop mid rep to think about this stuff

@@BillyJ1992 you can train out of it. You need to work on lower weight and getting good form at the lower weight. Also train adductors more. And it doesn’t matter if Xiao caves his knees too- it’s not good to do. You can’t compare yourselves to others. Jay Cutler uses a ton of momentum in his reps which isn’t good to do and he was still one of the biggest guys on earth.

@@BillyJ1992 Seriously guys, this knee popping sound at 6:29 is really really bad, you can't seriously say it's a good and healthy form. Don't be mad as soon as people clearly try to help other people who are clearly not athletes with 20 years of training, it doesn't help and doesn't make you looks cool neither
