it would benefit drake the most cuz he takes his ovo artists best songs for himself. i do believe to pay the bills certain artists could have signed to ovo just to stay on playlist, bryson & kirko bangz could’ve been on ovo but drake would keep them in the basement for songwriting ie.partynextdoor

@@ElijahMCMalik Definitely. Bryson was correct in saying that he needed to go to RCA to build up his own brand. This is why The Weeknd turned OVO down as well. On the other hand Bryson initially just wanted to be a songwriter which fits his personality of being shy. I think in that sense OVO could've been a great move because he could work with Drake. I also think Bryson and Party under the same label is insane!

I feel like Bryson and PND don't get enough flowers because they started a whole new wave of R&B , but it is so good hearing you talk about it !

I was gonna vehemently disagree, but ppl have Lauryn Hill as their GOAT, based off Miseducation alone. Given the significance of what Trapsoul meant to the 2010s and the fact that Tiller was rapping and singing on a high level on that project, I gotta admit, there might be merit to this.

bryson's 2017 run is hella underrated in my opinion, i loved true to self i got a handful of songs on rotation to this day, then he had "get mine" with young thug & thats my favorite thugger feature of all time & then ofc wild thoughts

True to Self was 🔥. Idk what ppl are saying, I loved Trapsoul bout TTS hit different for me. Never skip even the skit parts. Fire to me!

Eh. It wasn't rhe worst thing I've ever heard but the album sounded like one long ass song with a few variations.

timbaland a real one for supporting him the way he did especially with the equipment to make music to avoid going to the studio!!!

Bryson’s old SoundCloud songs before Don’t are all 🔥 especially his cover of Love Faces, Two Hearts, and Talk to Me. Idk if it’s just me but he sounded very similar to Chris Brown on his old songs especially on Two Hearts. I was surprised at how high of a pitch his voice could get and that he doesn’t do that as much in his newer music but at least he found his own sound and created a wave with Trap Soul
