I'll go you one better. The team with the strongest paddlers, in the best physical condition, who have done the most training, and have the best start, and the best middle section, and the best finish will win. (You should write that down. It's gold!)
Crazy it's slower than a one-person rowing boat even with that many people.

Depends, most trained rowers can easily go sub 1:45 for 500m in a single

@@icebear3125 National team guys certainly can, and I'd guess most national team women since the world record is just under 1:47/500m for a full 2000m.
