as someone who only has cassette decks, i recently got a tascam 122 and 133!, the 133 has two speeds and 3 channels, so for me the cassettes would be my pick if i won.

@@Hugh_Hunt nope, uses a standard 4 track head , the cue channel uses the 4th track

Best channel So underrated

I think your idea of using new tape stock for 8 Tracks is a good one, I am re-looking 1/4" tape and seeing what is possible with the graphite backing. Maybe your contacts may know of a way this could be done, with newer tape? as it would be interesting to try it out.

I'll check into shipping for EU. If I can afford to pay Nashville Recording Supply the difference in shipping costs for an EU winner, I will. I'll jump that bridge if an EU winner is drawn. So far, most entries are US and Canada.
